Matt Foley - Century 21 Scheetz

Matt's best day was the first day we met him. After that, his work was lacking. I sold my house in 4 days so he really had to do nothing there. He suggested I get out in the time the buyer wanted me out....16 days!! I said that was impossible. He continued to encourage me to get out as quickly as possible. He admitted at one point that he "dropped the ball" in getting with the buyer's agent to negotiate the inspection findings. At closing, the buyer said she wouldn't be moving in for a few more days. Also at closing he brought his toddler. He was already Matt was the realtor I used to sell my house and buy a new one. His best day was the day he met me for the first time. After thatnot performing and I had told him that before the closing. I would have suggested getting a sitter instead of bringing his toddler to the closing of a disgruntled client. My husband and I found the house we wanted without Matt's help. Unfortunately, his friend and coworker was the selling realtor. I didn't sense that Matt was really working for us but rather tried to tell us he had the inside info and the sellers would not go any lower. Because he'd rushed me out of my house, he pushed us to get the home inspection done asap. He basically chose the home inspector since we needed to move quickly. He allowed them to inspect with the gas turned off. When I asked why the gas was off, Matt said he'd look into it. My husband went by the house a few days later and found that there was a do not enter sign on the door because of a gas leak. Through our investigation with the gas company, we learned that the selling realtor had the gas turned off and knew of the leak but thought it would be fixed in time. Matt never understood our concern about this and continued to challenge us. Finally, we had to refuse to close until Matt was out of the picture. We worked with his boss instead. Matt is disorganized and doesn't stand up for his clients. It was a HORRIBLE experience.
