 + -1 moreWhen we moved because we did not trust the situation, a regional manager was rude and said we made up the story about the mold to try to get out of our lease since we had bought a home. However, a neighbor at Lakes of Carmel said that her entire closet of possessions had molded, and she was temporarily moved that summer. Another neighbor had a bag mold, and he said another neighbor found mold in the apartment. Additionally, the manager did admit that they had mold issues in the past and that was the reason for the rules regarding AC. Why take the chance?
Description of Work: The model apartment that was shown to us prior to move in was deceiving. The actual apartment we moved into was suboptimal and needed immediate attention to the dryer, garbage disposal, and some cabinetry. The biggest issue was that mold formed on a pair of leather boots in the closet in mid-summer. There is an addendum to the lease that the air conditioning must be running during certain months. Our AC was not functioning properly at the beginning of summer, and that may have encouraged mold growth.

 + -1 moreThe apartment complex is older but you wouldn't think it. We love our apartment and the lake view. The price is a little steep but that is Carmel for you. I can't say enough positive things about the staff. Everyone I have dealt with from leasing, maintenance, assistant manager, to property manager have been superb. I would recommend anyone looking for an apartment in Carmel to visit Michelle or Megan in the leasing office!
