Regarding our experience with the Avon, IN, Rockville Road location: Communication was poor between sales and install teams, and lack of humility and issue resolution. Owner, Glenn, was the road block rather than a facilitator to issue resolution. Sales portion of the interaction was good. Our salesperson was polite and respectful, and offered ideas. Laser measurement did not go very well. Glenn was present for the laser measure. He was carrying on with his apprentice rather than focusing on the task at hand or communicating with his customer. We then received a call later that day asking us to make our house available on another day for them to come back and repeat a step of the measurement that they had forgotten. We obliged, but she arrived at the house in the very last 5 minutes of the 2 hour window, an inconvenience. The Cambria countertop install went fine, and the result is as expected. However, the backsplash was measured wrong and had to be re-cut on the install day. I can imagine this goes back to the laser measure day, poorly executed. The plumbing portion went poorly. Communication between teams was poor, as our expectation was not transmitted to keep our current disposal unit and not replace it. The plumber messed up the wiring in the junction box, and left a loose wire. He reports there was a short circuit while he was working. He should have not touched the wiring since we specifically asked for the disposal not to be replaced since ours was less than 1 year old and a nice one. Here's where things went bad: My wife experienced that the dishwasher did not work after the plumber left. She noticed a smell of burning in the kitchen when the dishwasher first started up. She reported this to the salesperson at Kitchen Master. We then got a follow up email from Glenn explaining how it was our problem and we needed to hire an appliance repair person to address the wiring issue. He said it wasn't in his scope of work to address the issue. He never asked more about the issue or tried to diagnose or understand, nor ask anyone else on his team to do the same. When I got home, I discovered that the water supply to the dishwasher was not turned back on by the plumber. That's why the burning smell from the dishwasher heating element.... I did hire a technician to address the junction box wiring and he told me that the last person in the box (the plumber) left a loose wire which would have become an issue. I tried to explain the above to Glenn. He was argumentative. He has threatened to send us to collections and put a lien on our house, instead of acknowledging any issues that could have been handled better by him and his team. Mind you that work was just completed in the last 3-4 business days as we're discussing this. Glenn has chased me back to the big box stores like Lowe's and Menards. One can occasionally expect to have an issue during a project, and it is how the vendor responds and remedies the issue with the customer that counts. Kitchen Masters has not acknowledged any of their shortcomings let alone attempted to make it right by us, the customers. Poor communication between staff teams and lack of humility by the owner, Glenn, has left us wishing we had gone elsewhere.

"It's very disappointing to see the amount of dishonesty in your review. At the time of template, you were not there your wife was. Your countertops were not cleared or ready for the template. Your wife cleared the tops while I socialized with your daughter and set up. We completed the template and spoke to your wife asking questions about radius and overhangs and asked if she had any questions. While the tops were being drawn it was determined that I had omitted the height of were an outlet was. We called and set up a time to get this one dimension which would only take us a minute or two. You canceled that time and requested another time, and since we would be traveling on other templates that day you were given a window or arrival. After we were able to get the measurement we completed the drawing and you requested changes to it. And you started blaming the template person for not doing their job and not discussing the overhangs with you during template. Once you found out that it was me that did the template you have since changed your story. While our service tech was installing a new disposal, he found that your ground wire had power running through it. He made it very clear you that you had electrical issue and it needed to be fixed. He did disconnect it in the junction box for life safety reasons. Once you had reported that the dishwasher was not functioning correctly we verified that it was draining which was what was in our scope to do (reconnect the drain hose to the new disposal). We reminded you about the electrical issue and it needed to be fixed. At this point you started telling me that your sales person knew that you wanted to keep your existing disposal and you had called her and told her that. Then you changed your story to that she knew it from the time of purchase and that you were okay paying an additional $130 because your sales person told you that you had to even if you wanted to reuse your disposal. This is simply not true, and your sales person would have never said that, she would have removed the charge and inserted a comment in the scope to save and reuse the existing disposal. We followed up with written and verbally communication to inform you that this was outside the agreed scope and you would need to hire someone to investigate and fix. You have literally tried every angle and lie and are willing to put down anyone to get compensation. At Kitchen Master we don't give monetary compensation we fix the problem, we always do as we say we will. What you agreed and signed contract to be done: 1. Cambria Countertops & Sink 2. Demo and Dispose of existing laminate countertops, includes disconnecting water supply from faucet, and disconnecting drain from bottom of sink. 3. InSinkErator Badger 1/2-HP Garbage Disposal installed. 4. Standard plumbing package, reconnect of sink drain with standard chrome flanges, reinstall faucet, connect dishwasher drain hose to garbage disposal"

I liked my cabinets but did not care for the owner. We were looking to remodel and he was going to give us all these discount and we decided to go with another contractor and that's when he became a real jerk about everything. His professional I would give him a D, he is not a very nice person to us. I think he was annoyed because we acted like we were going to go with him and we ended up just ordering and we got really poor poor customer service. There parts I liked. I ordered my countertop through him.

You had asked the salesperson to ask the owner if we could still honor the promotion if you didn't have it installed. The answer was no as it did not meet the terms of the promotion. Nate and Samantha at the Carmel office were easy to work with and professional. The countertops were delivered in the approximate time range that I was given. The Cambria design team had made a mistake and made the island countertop the incorrect size, but that was quickly corrected and I was called a week later to schedule the installation of the corrected island countertop. The backsplash tile did not get delivered to Kitchen Master at the right time but they worked hard to get it in as soon as possible, and came immediately to install it. The backsplash installers were very detailed when cutting around my strangely-shaped windowsill, and did a great job. I am comfortable recommending Kitchen Master to others and I would be happy to work with them again myself.

The girl who came out quit and they lost the plan. She didn’t give any suggestions. They found my plan and mailed me a picture. I was not impressed.

The gentleman who came out to see the space was punctual and professional. He took measurements and we talked specifically about what I wanted and didn't want and what challenges were in the space.
He gave me an approximate date when the plans would be ready so I could come to their office and view them. He said the company would contact me when the plans were finished.
I waited a week after the time he said the plans would be complete and when I hadn't heard from them, I called. They said the plans weren't complete yet; it would be another week. I set an appointment for 1.5 weeks later.
The plans they presented did not take into consideration any of the mandatory needs I'd expressed with the original representative. They bathtub was placed exactly where I said I did not want it, and the layout of the space was awkward.
The "drawings" were simplistic and looked like they'd been generated with a $29.95 piece of software.
I wound up spending 30 minutes with the representative reworking the drawings--telling her where things should go and why--and walked out with a worthless set of layouts.
Just confirmation that you get what you pay for. If it looks too good to be true, it is.

The service was fine. We didn't have them do any work, except draw the design. I thought they were fine, maybe a little more high end than what I was looking for, and that is why I didn't go with them. My renovations need to be a little more simple than the plans that they drew up for me. They did a fine job, it just wasn't the right fit for me. They were a little late showing up, and the two people who showed up were different from who I was expecting, and that was a little off putting. I would use them again in the future.

Placed toilet and shower improperly based on local codes, designed too small of a shower base, when resized base to meet code, the whole bathroom had to be redesigned, etc.

It was all right. I wasn’t that satisfied. The person came over and I explained what I wanted done and I’m not sure that she truly understood and she did send some plans and they weren’t that great and we didn’t do anything about it. She was professional enough but I don’t think she really understood what my husband and I was talking about.

Kitchen Master provided a complete kitchen renovation for my property. Kitchen Master conducted all of the measuring, design work, cabinet consultation, and installation services. Each step of the process was quick, efficient, and thorough. I mainly worked with Jeanette and Glen. Both were a joy to work with and were always available to answer any questions or concerns.
Kitchen Master used quality carpenters that took pride in their work and always left my house clean. Nothing was sub contracted. Our new kitchen is a joy to cook in and looks phenomenal.

When I went to his location to hear the presentation on the plans provider designed, it appeared to me that he had not listened to anything I had to say during the hour he stood on my patio.

Some key considerations for me weren't reflected in the kitchen design.
The service was prompt and the designer was very professional and courteous. We just weren't on the same page. I'd ask that some elements be retained to match other parts of the open-concept room, but the work product was very modern/contemporary. It was a very nice design, just not for this house unless we were making drastic changes to the Family Room, which we aren't.

They drew up plans. It was good. I ended up not using them for my kitchen. They didn't even really draw up detailed plans; they just sort of gave me a 3-D picture of what the kitchen would look like. But it was fine.

It went well. I contacted them and they came out, took measurements and drew up plans. We loved the plans they designed (very creative!), unfortunately for them, we bought a vacation home instead of using the money for a remodel.

I have a very awkward kitchen layout and wanted plans for a remodel. I have had two other professionals draw-up re-model plans and I did not like them. Kitchen Master's plans provided a much improved kitchen layout. The designer was very easy to work with and listened to all the details I wanted included.

Jeanette did an amazing job, I love the design she created for my kitchen. I was rebuilding a kitchen from an empty room that was oddly shaped, and medium sized with a lot of windows, so little cabinet space. After being frustrated by my own inability to come up with a workable solution, Kitchen Master's design was beautiful, as were the colors. The print-outs of their design were very clear and inspiring.

I was impressed overall with this company and felt they provided a very thorough assessment of my current kitchen and ideas for a future kitchen. The representative listened to my ideas, joined my "kitchen" Pinterest page for further ideas, and took detailed measurements. The final drawings/renderings allowed me to see what the kitchen will look like after the eventual renovation, and I was given helpful ideas that I hadn't thought of before. The overall cost that was quoted to me was much more than I am able to spend right now (I suspected it would be), so the project is on hold until I can get the funds saved up.
