The price was great and the work was completed within a week. I watched all of the DVD's last night and they were perfect! I am working on a long-term project to scan all of the Family's historical pictures from the early 20th century - Keepsake will be my partner of choice - super work!
I called and they were able to do a one week turn around. They were friendly and informative. They made nice covers for the DVD boxes and were reasonably priced. I'm planning on taking them old slides next,
Keepsake offered the best of all worlds - local, conversion specific to my requests (I wanted the raw video), quick turn-around, best price (which I researched extensively), and he even allowed me to borrow a film viewer to preview film reels. There's no way I could have possibly converted everything, so that was very much appreciated.
I dropped off numerous 8mm and super8 reels and a portable hard-drive. In return, I received the master copy on dv tape, and the converted video on hd in several formats including the one I'd requested.
Very high quality and I felt he went above and beyond. Extremely happy with the service and would highly recommend to anyone looking for video services!

"I am very sorry that your experience with us was not acceptable. We experience extreme volumes at Christmas time and while we try to take care of everybody, but it is not always possible. Every year we reach a saturation point about a week before Christmas where we can no longer guarantee delivery of transferred DVD’s in time for Christmas day. We take care of customers on a first come, first serve basis. By the time you arrived at our office on Thursday, December 19th we already had a backlog of more than 30 customers with several hundred tapes. Instead of simply saying no we can’t get it done by Christmas we decided this year to try and accommodate last minute customers if they were willing to pay our normal rush charge which is an extra $10 per tape for turnaround in less than 72 hours. We have to do this because it normally requires us to work after hours and pay employees overtime. This is the same rush charge we have 365 days a year, which, by the way still puts us at a lower price than most of our competitors’ regular price. I’m not sure when you originally called but our quote for services would have been for drop off that day. On Tuesday morning December 16 we could no longer guarantee Christmas delivery without rush charges to cover overtime expenses. We tried to make everyone aware over the phone of the policy before they came in. We still offered the $8.95 price but only for deliver during the two weeks following Christmas. You were informed of this on Thursday December 21st when you dropped off the tapes. We even cut the rush charge in half to $5 in an effort to accommodate you as well as offering to complete the job after Christmas for our regular price of $8.95 per tape instead. You said you had to have all the tapes for Christmas and paid the reduced rush fee of $5 per tape at the time of the order. At that time my employee said you seemed relieved to be able to get them done in time for Christmas and even shook his hand when you left. We spent almost 5 hours on your project that evening after normal business hours and had it ready for pick up the next morning December 20th by 10:00 AM as agreed and promised. At the time of the order you said you had 17 tapes and were charged for the 17. In reality you had 18 tapes so when you arrived to pick up we were just attempting to get paid for the tape which had not been paid for yet. Upon learning this you became irate and expressed your feeling that you had been unfairly charged. We were surprised by this since you had willingly agreed to the price and paid the previous day. We attempted to appease you by first waiving the charge for the extra tape and then offering to refund your money in full which you ignored. Instead you chose to threaten us with retaliation on Angie’s List. I’m still taken aback by your reaction and am not sure what else we could have done to make you happy. We hope the best for you, again I would like to apologize for your experience and I am sorry we could not work things originally. Jim Britt Owner, Keepsake Media Group"
