Auto Sales
Sold me a car that had electrical problems and tried to cover them up by resetting the error codes and lying to me about what problems I did detect. The check engine light came on when I was about half way home from the dealership from which I live 1 1/2 hours away. I had bought an extended warranty, thank goodness. The vehicle died totally 1 day later and had to be towed to be repaired. But of course, the parts needed weren't part of the extended warranty. The vehicle ran for another 2 weeks and had the same problem, it just died. This time the computer also had to be replaced. and towing to a dealership to install and program computer was $300, Indy Auto Man said they would reimburse me for this towing plus any rental fees that I incurred. Vehicle ran again for about 3 weeks this time and then totally died again, with same problem as first incident. This time I got it to a repair shop and sold it. When I submitted towing and rental bills to Indy Auto Man, they paid the rental because it was only for $77, but have refused to reimburse me for the towing, which again wasn't a covered expense on the extended warranty, probably because it is about $300. When the vehicle broke down the first time, I repeatedly tried to contact Indy Auto Man, but nobody would return my calls, after leaving messages with 3 people, including an owner. The finance man finally did call me.
They also charged me the title application fee but failed to ever apply for a title for me, so I had to pay the fee again at the license branch. I submitted copies of both receipts to Indy Auto Man and they have reimbursed me for that fee. I shouldn't have had to reapply or pay again. Stay away from this auto dealership. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau.
