I'd give them a "B" for overall service.  They don't always keep up with the work, they need reminders.  I don't think I would use them again.

Tom came out to the house last year, quoted, and did the work to run drain lines underground to allow our gutters to drain away from the driveway.  The original builder did a pretty poor job with downspout placement and that allowed water to pool and drain under the driveway, causing it to sink several inches.

The work was high quality and the price fair, but we had to contact them several times to inquire about the status of the job.  Normally I wouldn't mind waiting, but Horticultural Experts was advised that the job had to be done by a certain date or I would have to reschedule the concrete repair that was to follow shortly after.  The work was finished later than originally discussed, and had it been delayed by a few more days I was would have needed to reschedule the concrete mud-jacking and paid a higher price for that work.  It was just stress that was not needed.

A few weeks ago I contacted Tom again to have them come out, quote/suggest landscaping work, and then we were going to hire them to do the work.  We were planning to spend about $1500 on that job, maybe a few hundred more if we came up with a plan that was worth it.  My FIRST appointment with him was canceled by Tom because he had another meeting that came up, the SECOND appointment was canceled by Tom because his wife was ill (understandable), but then the THIRD appointment was canceled by Tom when he failed to show up this Thursday afternoon after we had talked the night before about him coming over.

He was recommended to me by a friend whom also agreed the work was quality, but I'm done with no-shows that don't respect my time.  I am now contacting other landscapers to have the work done instead.

I had a few taller trees that needed to come down. The crew's "climber" was a no show, so we had to reschedule, which frustrated me. We got another date on the calendar. The crew came and started working. I was not happy to see that, mid-job, they had gone over to my neighbor's house and helped him with some of his trees. Apparently the project manager had quoted him for this job "a few years ago" (really? couldn't it wait another day or two at this point?) so they went over to do the work since my neighbor had seen him working in my yard. I would not have had an issue with it if I did not have a lawn care team coming later the same day that would require this job to be completed first.
Since I was not part of the conversation between the crew and my neighbor, I don't know exactly what words were exchanged, but from my perspective I would have thought someone doing the work I hired them to do would ask me if it was okay to take care of this other job before they were done with mine first, especially since they knew I had another service provider coming that same day that would need access to the same area where they were working.
Bottom line is, the job got done and I was satisfied with the outcome, but it did come with unneeded stress.

It turned out great. They were very dedicated to the task which took over a week to do. They put down an interesting pattern and it was level.

Mr. Vondassar provided an affordable estimate for the planting of shrubs and flowers in front of my house. He took my personal preferences into account and was knowledgable about not only the landcaping but the care of the plants and prevention of disease. He edged and mulched the entire area and installed underground downspouts to protect the landscaping. I was very satisfied with his knowledge and professionalism. I would recommend his services to others!

Everything went great. I singed a yearly contract with them. The owner was very knowledgeable and experienced. I would use this company again.
