Description of Work: After having a very frustrating refinancing experience with another mortgage company, we called First Mortgage. Cathy Strawn got back to us very quickly, was very clear and concise about how she works and what we needed to do, and was incredibly efficient. We sat down with her at her office for 90 minutes and went through all the documentation needed for our refinancing, all the disclosures, and the numbers. We closed three weeks later, and everything went off without a hitch. Cathy made the process as simple, clear and painless as possible. We highly recommend her services and would use her again.

Description of Work: I worked directly with Michael Strawn on the loan for a recent home purchase. Michael was very efficient, honest, and helpful. He worked with us through a lengthy search process, providing the necessary pre-approval letters as they were needed. Their loan fees are among the lowest I found anywhere, and their full disclosure turned out to be just that: a full disclosure. (Some companies tend to hide costs that don't show up until later.) In fact, Michael even recommended that we avoid a typical service that has a hefty price tag and marginal value. Since there was a scheduling conflict, Cathy stepped in for Michael at closing. Everything went smoothly and the whole thing came off without a single hitch. My realtor actually commented on how well things went with First Mortgage and mentioned that she would very likely point clients in their direction.
