This renovation went amazing. We have had major issues with past contractors on projects. We had no issues with Heartwood Custom Homes though. From the start of the project, until the finish of it, I don't think I had to call the contractor once with any concerns. They showed up every day, they worked, it progressed in a timely fashion, they called if they were going to be even a little late, and the finished product was awesome. This is how a renovation should go.

They are wonderful. We're very, very happy with them. Even the people they have working for them are astronomical, they are very honest.

The customer service was phenomenal. Jeff Langston and his staff were professional and polite. We chose to exceed our original budget. Jeff and his staff were extremely conscientious of our budget. They made sure we were aware of any choices that ran over budget before final decisions were made. They were extremely flexible in working with our family schedule through the holidays, sick children, etc. The workmen were kind and clean cut. I was relieved being home with several young children.

Every concern we had was met professionally until we were satisfied. I cannot praise them enough. Our basement was finished meticulously and their painter's attention to detail exceeded any we have ever hired in the past. We live in a semi-custom home and our basement is the nicest part! We love it! This was a great experience for my husband especially. He comes from a builder's background and is extremely particular! When they say they are and quot;all about the finish,and quot; They mean it!

Jeff Langston, from Heartwood, met with my husband and I to design our empty-nester home. He painstakingly went through every detail and welcomed (and encouraged) our ideas throughout the entire process. Each time after a design meeting, his in-house architect to make the changes and when we met again, he would show us multiple options from which to choose. It was a wonderful experience and made my husband and I feel so at ease. We would proceed floor by floor..not proceeding too quickly allowing us to be sure we got what we wanted precisely. Once we locked down on a final design, we were ready to walk the land with an arborist to ensure what trees would stay and how best to position the home. There was always a perfect mix of laughter and seriousness to make this process so enjoyable. For someone who is a very detailed-oriented person like myself, I felt very confident in Jeff's approach and listening skills. It was top notch. In April of 2010, my husband and I learned that our empty-nest plans had to be put on hold. We welcomed the expansion of our family to two boys from my sister who had recently passed away. Jeff was so very understanding and kind to us even in light of the hard work he had put in to our project over the months. He was the consummate professional and I will never forget the true Christian charity and display of kindness he displayed when we had to move to an existing home (quickly) and return our deposit. In the future, my husband and I would build with Jeff Langston in a heartbeat...and would recommend him strongly to anyone considering building with him or working with Heartwood homes.
