A relative sent me to Godby's. I needed furniture for a part-time place. I've had a life-time of buying various things we liked, but needed things right away for this place. I was walking around the store like a deer in the headlights and along came Carolyn Houk who took me under her wing. She was so helpful to me in choosing some key pieces to get a start. Godby was so flexible in delivering this in 2 orders. I even had to reschedule because of weather. There was a computer glitch on the first order and one item was marked as "on order," but was in the warehouse. They had it out to me within an hour. I need more things for this place and will be heading back to Carmel Godby and Carolyn Houk.

Purchased new mattress and box springs in February of this year. The springs seemed to have broken. Godby ant out a rep and assessed the situation. They called back after assessment and will replace the mattress and box springs for free.

The mattress was delivered two days after purchasing it. The men from Godby's were on time- called ahead to let me know they were on the way. They were friendly and professional.

We were looking for an affordable kitchen table and chairs for my daughter's apartment. She is a senior in college so we are watching the budget but wanted something she would be happy with for a long time. After pricing other options where the chairs were sold separately we realized that this was a good price. She is very happy with the set, the service in the store was excellent, as was the delivery and assembly service.

This bed set is no longer made but they had one still in stock and they did a great job. This was a fantastic experience and gave me a great price for a fantastic bed.

They delivered the bed, set it up, and took the old one away.

A great purchase experience! Vici Bingaman helped me find a new bed that is just perfect for me. She led me around the store from one set to another, based on my feedback of ''too hard'' or ''too soft,'' all the time staying within my price range, until I found the one that was, you guessed it - ''just right.'' Delivery was within a week and went very smoothly. The price was less than bedding I had seen elsewhere, although I didn't do detailed price-checking. Other places had some obnoxious salespeople, but not here. Based on this experience, Godby will be my first stop when I look for living room furniture.

I had searched all over Indy looking for a corner unit. I had previously visited Godby but returned again a couple of months later to seek an alternative. Not only did they have a corner unit but they insisted that I take a shelf from the unit home to be certain that I would be happy with the wood (it wasn't exactly the Mission-style that I was looking for).

FRIENDLY STAFF THAT LET YOU BROWSE WITHOUT PRESSURE. WILLING TO HELP US RESEARCH OPTIONS ON DIFFERENT FURNITURE ITEMS. DELIVERY MEN WERE CAREFUL, FRIENDLY AND ON TIME.

SALESWOMAN WAS SOMEWHAT CONDESCENDING, BEFORE EVEN DISCUSSING WHAT I HAD IN MIND PRICE-WISE SAID, ''YOU'LL EITHER HAVE TO COME DOWN ON YOUR WISHES OR UP ON YOUR BUDGET.'' NOT THE BEST RAPPORT WITH POTENTIAL CUSTOMER.

THE SALES AND DELIVERY PERSONNEL WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND PROMPT.
