After being totally dissatisfied with another company, I called Gary Blanton with GNB Roofing and he is clearly proof that honest, decent people still exist in this money-driven world we live in. He inspected my roof and considerably more thoroughly than the previous company and decided that my roof was fine and likely the rain had blown under the shingles during high wind. He advised me to not do anything with the roof right now as he didn't see a problem. Not only did he not charge for his time to inspect my roof, he gave me a tube of solar caulk to reseal my ridge vent that had blown up slightly, and didn't charge me a dime. I might add, he was also very punctual and polite, he showed up to look at my roof within 24 hours of me calling. If I need roof work in the future, I will definitely call GNB Roofing. I feel this is a very honest and reputable company, willing to help even the people with small jobs, not just sniffing around for big ticket insurance jobs.

Gary gave me a quote in October but I didn't ask him to do the work until May, over 6 months later. He still honored the original price even though costs had been increasing rapidly. Gary was responsive to my requests and he seemed truly concerned about doing a good job. He and his crew came to the job prepared to get it done without delay. Gary went after a few supplies while the crew prepared the old roof for the new installation. He also had extra men on the crew but that turned out to be too many people on this size roof so he and one of the crew went to measure another job while the work was done on my house. I was asked to inspect the roof before the crew left and they made an adjustment to the gutter cover that I requested.
