Evolution Tile and Stone LLC

Work took a little longer than expected. Quality was OK but not great. When calling back to have him come back to replace some tiles set unevenly, I'm unable to reach him on any of two phone numbers or email. He and his business seem to have disappeared by March 2014. Derek Zimmerman, if you're out there: what happened?

From start to finish they were able to take on the entire job without any extra effort from me.  

Evolution Tile and Stone does beautiful work!  We were so pleased with the way the tile in our kitchen/breakfast nook/laundry room and hallway was laid, we later hired them to retile our entire master bathroom suite.  Yes, it's fair to say we are now raving fans!  The appointment:  After getting an estimate, we were able to secure a weekend appointment immediately.  This was brilliant for us--no need to take off work and the job could get done in a matter of days.  The owner:  Derek Zimmerman is the owner.  We found him meticulous, personable, trustworthy and highly skilled.  Derek, and one regular colleague, did all of the work.  Thus, no detail was spared.  This is important because our floor was not completely level.  Derek laid backerboard over the original vinyl floor and did some additional reinforcement to make sure the tile didn't dip and laid evenly.  The flooring and overall experience:  Our floors look fantastic!  We live in the Geist area in a 21 year old home and the original floors had some screeching.  The new floors not only look good, but also are silent.  We appreciate that all of this was done without us feeling like we needed to watch over them.  Derek has been tiling for 17 years, has high standards and takes pride in his work.  What a joy to turn the task over to him and come back with a product we were most pleased with!  Wouldn't it be great if every contractor could be like this!
