 + 0 moreI paid Dennis, the technician, a $75 bench fee to look at a broken plasma TV, that I (with a friend) had already diagnosed the problem to a bad X or Y board. But I did not know which one specifically. He called me the next day confirming that is was one of those boards but would not tell me which one specifically (knowing that I would probably just it fixed myself with a friend) which is true-- BUT when I pay a $75 bench fee, I would like to know which board is bad! Why did I pay him the money then??? I am in no way obligated to use him after the bench fee, it's is ridiculous for him to entrap me into paying $275 to fix a 4 year old TV that I can buy new for $400. This is no difference than taking your car to a mechanic, telling them your brakes are squeaking, and paying them a $75 fee and them NOT telling you which set of brake pads are bad because they want your business. I understand full well he wants the business, which is fine, but you can't charge a diagnostic fee and NOT tell me what is wrong! That is stealing, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!
Description of Work: My friend and I diagnosed my broken Plasma TV to a bad X or Y board. I needed to know which one was bad so I paid a $75 bench fee for Dennis to tell me which one was bad. He called the next day and refused to tell me which one was bad because he know I had the ability to fix it myself. Total waste of $75... In now way shape or form does me paying a bench fee obligate me to have the repair completed.
