I worked with Donnie Dodson from the Camby (Moorsville) office. I couldn't have asked for anything more from Donnie. I initially contacted him in April 2011 for pre-qualifing. He got the basic information needed and had a letter e-mailed withn 24 hours. Throughout the summer he periodically checked on my progress towards purchasing the home, never intrusive or expecting something in return for getting pre-qualified. When I finally found the home I wanted to buy he was very responsive, again never doing any high pressure techniques. At one point he sensed I was shopping, only then he emphasized the value of doing business with Metlife. What I found was I couldn't find another local (stress local) lender that offered a better package. I eventually met with him, had a bunch of questions. He provided thorough answers. This was a bank owned home (foreclosure) so the process was a little more complicated than a normal sale. He also had answers to questions that did not directly pertain to the financing of the home (warranty deeds, clearing the title...etc). I can say with confidence that Donnie is very knowledgeable with the mortgage lending business. Closing was seamless, no issues at all. I hesitate to list the interest rate I got and closing costs paid being as they are directly related to the amount of down payment and your credit worthiness. I will say I couldn't find a better interest rate or costs to close for those costs that the lender controls I had used Metlife for a refinance years ago for my previous home. Again couldn't find a better package. If you're refinancing or purchasing a new home and don't know who to call then call Donnie. If you're shopping then at least give him a chance, for comparison purposes if for nothing else.
