Long over due: We hired Justin and his crew last month to remove 2 very
tall Chinese Elms from our back yard. We called several tree services
and received 3 quotes. The other 2 companies were $1500-$2000 more in
cost because they wanted to use cranes and go over the house to remove
the branches. One of the 2 companies even bad mouthed other tree
services. When I met Justin he was professional and confident in his
crew that they would be able to remove the trees and clean up the yard
with no issues. They would be climbing the tree and cutting it down the
natural way and would not be wasting money on using an unnecessary
crane. The crew arrived and the service was complete before I returned
home from work. They even added an extra tree (small) at no additional
charge. We read reviews of complaints of dents in the lawn after a tree
is removed by any tree service, but in my opinion it is inevitable when
removing limbs that way upwards of hundreds of pounds. We have no
complaints. We recommend Justin and his crew, they were communicative,
polite, hardworking and got the job done!

I called Justins tree service on Friday and scheduled the service on Monday.when I came home from work on Monday they were just finishing the removal of the debris. they were very professional from first contact to the end of the job

From my first call to Justin, I experienced excellent, professional service.  Justin gave me a free estimate and when I confirmed the work, he and his crew of 6 arrived on time and immediately went to work.  For the next 6 hours, they worked non-stop to remove the tree.  They were extremely careful not to damage either house, the surrounding driveways and the lawn.  After they were finished, they cleaned everything including my roof, gutters and driveway.  They also did my neighbors house which made her very happy as well.
I definitely will use Justin's services again and I highly recommend him to anyone.

I was way happy with them.  It was a huge tree, it had to be all taken down by hand, and so they had to climb.  They were quick, they cleaned up well, they were prompt, and they were on time.  They were able to provide proof of insurance, and because it was close to the house, I wanted proof of insurance.  It was a fair price.

Justin Wever's Tree Service is definitely A plus. Justin visited my yard on Tuesday, same day as my initial phone call. He reported back to me Tuesday afternoon and service was scheduled for Thursday morning. The crew arrived promptly Thursday morning prior to 8:00am. Originally, I asked Justin to haul the wood away. When he arrived, I asked if his crew could stack it neatly in side yard where they were working. He had no problem with me changing my mind. I had to leave for work at 8:45am. 
The first tree service's solution was to completely cut the oak down and remove the stump. They had no solution for 2nd tree because of utility wires.
Justin's solution was to have his climber cut and remove only the lifeless and weighty limbs to allow the wind to blow through the oak limbs and branches. Justin explained the future re-newal of growth. 
I chose Justin's service 1. because of the rave reviews on Angie's List  2. because Justin's solution was to save this 'ancient' oak and 3. because no trucks would be driven into the yard 

The crew, headed by the owner, arrived on time and ready to work.  While the job was somewhat nerve-wracking due to proximity to house with skylight, the crew knew what they were doing at all times and there were no missteps.  The crew were very respectful of planted garden beds and neighbor's property.  Cleanup was thorough including the roof and gutters.  Amazed that this huge tree was entirely gone (including all logs and debris) in 4 hours.  Was furnished with proof of insurance prior to having the work done which was a plus.  Have already discussed additional work to be done at another time.  My new go-to tree guy!

These guys were great. They finished the entire job (and my neighbor's trees) by 10:30, just two and a half hours of work!
They were friendly, fast, professional, and very obliging. I asked that the wood be cut in 12" to 18" lengths, so that I could split it for firewood, and they were happy to oblige. When they arrived I changed the work order by adding two trees to take down and by subtracting another one, and they were happy to oblige. I had told them originally that I wanted to keep the chips, but changed my mind and asked that they be removed, and they were happy to oblige. I told them to go ahead and help out my elderly neighbor and I would cover it, and they were happy to oblige.
When it was over I asked how much more Justin wanted for the extra work and he told me to give him whatever I thought was fair. So I was very generous because I was so impressed with him, his crew, and the work.

We live in a lot with very large and old Oak Trees.  Most companies wanted to drive their boom truck onto our lawn, which would have been really difficult based on the layout of our lot, not to mention the stress on the tree roots. Justin's Tree Service does mostly climbing which was really great.  Justin had 3 climbers on-site, plus an ample support crew and they were cleaned up and out of our property by 3:30.  They left mulch and cut up the burnable wood and cleaned up the yard cleaner than I think it was before they came. The crew was professional and took pride in doing a great job.  Their price was fair.  The only reason I did not give them an A for price is just because they were not the cheapest quote we received.  But it's one of those things, you get what you pay for.  We paid a little more and in the end I believed received a better end product. Would highly recommend to anyone.

On Tuesday 5/1/2012 I called around for estimates on my tree removal and trimming. Justin is the only one that responded to inquirys. In fact, he was out that afternoon to examine property for the estimate.  His estimate was fair priced. In my case price was not the key for me. The large tree removed was only 2 foot from my expensive fencing and thirty feet from my home- a major concern. Damge to either would cost me much more than the costs of removal.
Justin came from Chesterton to Michigan City with his caravan of workers and equipment. His workers were great. All worked well together as a team and were happy to do the work. The arrived 10 minutes early at 8 am 5/3/2012.  worked very hard for several hours carefully disassebling the tree and trimming over my home and deck area also, piece by piece as it was impossible to do a felling. They chipped the branches as the were downed. In true ecologic fashion, Justin called a local woodpicker for his chance to get several tons of firewood. They even helped this gentleman to load his trailer.
I was so impressed I had Justin quote a second job for a several tree trim on a home with  nasty, hard to get to, junk trees overhanging a parishoners residence. No damage to fencing, home or even her little rose garden. Justin cut me a break as this job was funded by my church  The lady was crying when she saw how much was done so perfectly.
The heart and sould of a true full time arborist and his crew is evident to me in Justins Tree Service.
Time from call to finish was 24 hours - I got real lucky as this was the first day in weeks he had a opening.
