The floor was water stained in several places and we were concerned about how these places would turn out. As soon as Micah began the sanding operation it was obvious that the white oak flooring installed in the early 1920's was in very good shape considering it's age. The sanding made the stains less noticeable, but they were still obvious. Micah prepared three test plots on the floor using different color stains complete with top coat, polyurethane,to determine which would look best when finished. We choose a light walnut which as it turned out blended the stains in to the point that you have to hunt to find them. We are very please with the outcome even though we had to endure snow delays, as has been the case with almost everything this winter.
