Removed dead limbs from trees

Excellent Job!

They took apart 2 ash trees close to the barn and 1 tulip poplar next to the house. It went very well. It was quite an amazing job they did. Brought a bucket truck and 5 guys. Did more than was included in the estimate such as cleaning up some debris. They were all nice and friendly.

Work was done and Jeff did a great job. He did exactly what I wanted with no problems. I will use him again.

A tree limb broke, but was still hanging between the tree it started to break away from and another tree next to it. It posed a risk of damage to a fence. It was removed safely and efficiently.

Jess Ray & crew cut down & removed 2 sweet gum trees & 1 pine tree. They also ground out stumps to below ground level. They came out promptly & did everything Jess said they would. I was surprised how quickly they got the job done. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

The price was good, they were responsive. He's just a really nice guy.

Jess came out on a Monday to provide an estimate to remove a pine tree that was starting to lean over our garage. His estimate was approximately half of two other companies that come out on Tuesday to provide estimates, so on Tuesday evening I let him know of our plans to use Woodland to remove the tree and he came out with a co-worker on Thursday and the tree was gone by that afternoon. Highly punctual, professional, and highly price competitive. Only small complaint was that a few extra minutes could have been spent to clean up the remaining small limbs that were down. However, I was pleased with overall service and actually used Woodland to help clear a large fallen limb about 2 weeks later.

Jess is very knowledgeable and professional. He explained the work to be performed in great detail. Clean up was EXCELLENT. I don't think there was one piece of debris or one chip remaining in my yard.

Great cleanup, barely could tell they had been here aside from a stump.

It went great. He came when he said he would. Got it done, and even helped out one of our neighbors. Great guy!

We were having problems with squirrels getting on our roof, so we wanted a large tree trimmed so they couldn't use it anymore to get on top of our house.  I had a couple of tree companies write us an estimate, but Jess was by far the most comprehensive and cheapest.  He came out the next day after I requested the estimate.  I wasn't home, so he left a written estimate in our mailbox and called me to go over what he wrote down.  He gave me several different options, which I liked.  And he didn't even recommend the most expensive one.  We scheduled the service and he was out within a day to complete the job.  Before he started work he went over with us what exactly he was going to do, to make sure we were both on the same page as to what service was going to be done (since he gave us several options and we weren't home for him to explain).  They were done within a couple hours, and left the place spotless.  Jess was punctual, professional, and did great work.

It went well; Jess was very responsive and accommodating in trying to find a time that worked for me.  He showed up on time, worked diligently to get the work done within the estimate he provided....no complaints!

I had Jess out to quote on the possible removal of our giant cottonwood on our small lot depending on whether we needed to drop it to work on a new garage. Additionally we have 3 mature trees near our 1918 house which sits on a .11 acre lot. A Bald cypress which had branches all over the roofline, a large Spruce which was also all over our roof, and an Oak towards the street that needed some maintenance. 
Jess came out promptly and spent almost and hour discussing my trees and their needs. At no time was he high pressure for additional services, and he was happy to discuss a range of things we could do eventually should I want to consider it (for instance the spruce has a sister trunk which probably needs to be cabled one day). We discussed how long he's been in the business (20 years I think), his insurance and credentials, etc. We also discussed potentially doing a root barrier for the cypress tree which is close to our house's foundation. 
The Cottonwood is a monster, 45" diameter trunk, easily 40 feet taller than the powerlines it is near, and it hangs over multiple structures. He quoted 3800 to remove it, and while I have no doubt that is a fair number given that it will need to be climbed and roped down in small chunks, we are still trying to decide if we have to get rid of it. 
The pruning/deadwooding of the other 3 trees proved extremely reasonable. I told him I'd like to go ahead with that service, and waited to hear back on scheduling. We had a few days that just didn't work out due to time, other jobs, etc, but he was very good about calling me to let me know if a time we were shooting for wasn't going to work out, and he showed up with his climber promptly monday morning as planned. 
The lower branches that were laying on my roof from the cypress and the spruce were all trimmed back correctly, and a lot of deadwood and sucker branches were pruned from the oak. Jess also corrected some pruning I did incorrectly in the past on the oak, and took the branch stumps back closer to the collar do they'd heal. 
They cleaned up every little branch and leaf that fell, none of the garden was harmed. I see no damage to gutters, etc. They raked up the yard, and blew off the sidewalks.

Jess came to inspect the tree and give us advise on his first visit. He explained all kinds of "tree stuff" to us that we didn't know in a way that we could understand. He allowed us to get to know him and the company he represents in a personal way. He shared information with us about the insurance that all companies are supposed to have. He said they should never hesitate to show us their insurance protection. We were very impressed with his open honesty.
We had researched 8 landscaping companies. All of them were more established. The others had more good referrals from customers because they are larger companies. However, we would have been known as "The job on Constellation Drive". To Woodlands, we were "Dana and Sharon".
We truly thought we were going to lose the whole tree. Jess explained to us that we didn't have to lose the whole tree and he could remove only the dead part instead.
We scheduled a date for the work. Jess and his crew arrived right on time. They had all of the equipment and skills
needed to do the job safely and properly. The tree is very close to our house, and we were concerned about where
the big limbs would fall.
They were total pros! We watched the whole process and were amazed. We are so glad we chose Woodland Tree and Landscape to help us. We will totally choose them over any large company the next time we need any kind of outside work done.

The owner arrived as promised.  Professional, patient, and answered every question we had.  Very cautious about safety.  He did not damage any property.  The trees took longer than expected to remove do to their locations and size.  He returned the next day to complete the job.  We did the clean up and he returned a third time to cut some additional logs into firewood size at no additional charge.  Highly recommend.

Jess Ray really knew his profession. He explained clearly how and why he did certain things to keep the tree healthy.
He went above the work we originally thought was needed when he did his estimate.
