Mark Forcum solicted an offer from me on a house that he already had put under contract, without revealing that there was a contract currently in effect. When confronted, he had multiple stories which made no sense. He violated his own Realtor Code of Ethics. It is my feeling that he was trying to solicit offers in an effort to find out what the market would bear so he could use that information for future business. His own professional organization even agreed with me that he violated the code of ethics. Beware of this Realtor. He doesn't know what he is doing, and in my case didn't care about ethics.
Description of Work: On January 11, 2011, I submitted an offer through my Realtor to purchase a house in Brownsburg, IN. Mark Forcum (Prudential Indiana Realty Group) was the listing agent on the house I was attempting to purchase. On January 12, we were notified by Mark Forcum that multiple offers were received and he had requested our highest and best offer. On January 13, 2011, we submitted our highest and best offer. This offer was declined on January 13th. We later found out that Mark Forcum had submitted an offer from another buyer on 1/6/11. On 1/7/11, the seller counter offered which the buyer accepted. This Realtor basically solicited an offer from me on a house that he knew was under a contract a week earlier, without telling me he had a previous contract.
