We're very happy with the work done and the quality of the cabinets and countertop.

The designer we had at teh Brownsburg Lowes (Julie) did a great job in getting all the details right and making suggestions to enhance our design. She even showed up at our house during the install to check on things.

The installers were very accomodating and carried out special requests willingly.

I had a negative experience with Lowe's and then they fixed it finally but after six months of constant calling. They have gotten a private contractor to put up a fence for me. The person working at Lowe's was delivering the wood for the fence. They made huge butt in my yard. It was so big that ducks were swimming in them. I called them and asked them to fix it. I've made visits to Lowe's and talked to people there. It took me six months of calling and going to finally have somebody come over and fix it. If I was going to give anybody a negative, it would be contracting with Lowe's to have any work done. That sounds horrible but it's true. They did damage to my property. They didn't even run around to fix it for months. I called and said I was going to call the corporate office. I called several hotlines and I've been making a big fuzz. They did fix it. It wasn't perfect but it's fine. The fence is great, it's the finished product. The fence is fabulous. It's just what they did to my yard when they delivered them and what it took for them to fix the yard.

We purchased our fence for our backyard through Lowe's and we were very happy with our experience. Tiffany came out and gave us a no-obligation estimate, which included measuring our backyard and talking about the options of different types of fencing. We never felt pressured to sign a contract at that time, and she left everything with us to review and call her back with any questions or to schedule the service. We called several other companies and felt that the prices they quoted us were competitive. They also offered 0% financing for 18 months, which pretty much sold us on using them. When we called Tiffany back to tell her we wanted to go ahead, she came out the same week to have us sign the contract and get the process started. Lowe's does not do the installation of the fence themselves, but they let us know who would be contacting us to get that done and they followed up with us to make sure it had been done to our satisfaction. We were very happy with how easy the process was and with the quality of the fence. We would definitely go through Lowe's for other home improvements.

What I like about Lowe's service: The key part of the project is the new custom-built granite counter-top. Lowe's arranges for both granite installers and plumbers, and offers a single installation package where they put it all together for you, all in 1 service call. Unlike a key competitor, who asks YOU (yes!) to arrange for your own plumber (they only install the countertop), or charge an exorbitant price for connecting the faucets for you (and this is 2 service calls, not 1 service call). In addition, there is a wide selection of stone styles and colors for the custom counter top. What I dislike about the service: Lowe's (and/or its provider of granite top) made 2 mistakes. 1. In the first service call, they got the dimension of the custom top wrong. The top that arrived was too small to be installed and another service call had to be scheduled, 3 weeks later. 2. In the 2nd service call they got the style of the stone wrong. I discovered this after the top had already been installed and everything, and they did give me some compensation for the mistake. Neither mistake is fatal, and maybe they are understandable given the complexity of the custom top and vanities. And they have been nice to me. But mistakes are mistakes, and these prevent them from getting an A. I do recommend their services to others. But you have to carefully inspect what you get!

Overall, it went well. There was an issue with replacing a sliding door that took a few tries to get done, and more than one contractor was needed, even though the second just put a barrier between the carpet and tile. That being said, everything got done and looks good.

The fencing was $1,300 and the deck was $900. They came right out and they kept calling me. They got on my nerves because they kept calling but at least they were responding to my problems. They were $100 more than another big box store.

The appliances have been awesome so far. The manager of the appliance section was extremely helpful. At that time, I really wasn't about to buy a refrigerator. He pointed out a refrigerator that was getting ready to be discontinued and they only had a couple in stock. It was actually marked down a lot and it saved me about a $1000. That was really good. They had pretty good marked downs on products that were getting ready to be discontinued to bring out new products and also when they have only a couple left in stock. The product was fine. It was in the box and there was no scratch or anything. I haven't had anybody come out here to do any service as all the appliances have been fine. The delivery was awesome and the delivery guys were great. They picked up and cleaned everything after they were finished. It was just a really good experience with them. The guys were great. We go to Lowe's quite a bit.

On 15 October of this year I purchased a front door from the Lowes located in
Brownsburg, IN.
The door was to be delivered and installed in approximately 3 - 4 weeks. I was of
the understanding when the door was ordered that the door would be delivered
with casing, interior trim and exterior trim.
On 17 October an installer came to measure the opening and finalize the order.
One month later I had not heard anything so I call and was told that the
door should be shipped in approximately a week.
I called again the week after Thanksgiving, and was told that the door was in and
the installer should be calling me to schedule the installation. I got the
installers name and called to arrange the installation.
The installer arrived on 3 December to install the door. When he arrived I learned
that the door did come with exterior trim, but not interior trim. The installer
and I called the store regarding the availability of matching trim, or, stain
or paint matching the color of the door. We were both told that this was not
available, and the store stated that because the door was stained, an exact
match could not be obtained via color matching.
Once the installer had removed the door, he discovered that the jamb was not the
correct depth. The jamb was of insufficient depth.
The installer again spoke to the store and they advised him to return the door. He
put the old door back, but because of the broken brick mold and damage during
removal, the door and several severe air leaks. I have had to tape the
door closed to keep the air out. This has been an inconvenience and a little
unpleasant to look at.
After several days of not receiving a response, I started calling and finally went to
the store. I was told that they had ordered an expedited jamb extension that
would provide the depth that was needed and it would be indistinguishable. The
expedited order was supposed to arrive before Christmas. This is now the week
of New Year's and I am on the quest for more information. As to whether the
jamb extension will be indistinguishable,this is yet to be seen.
I went to the store after the installer left, regarding the need for matching
interior trim or paint/stain to match. I was again told that neither was
available. I was told that none of the door companies that are
represented by Lowes came with interior trim or color matching stain or paint.
I had just purchased a Pella door through Pella and had it installed on the rear
of my home. It came with a can of matching stain, and the installer
installed new trim stained to match. But according to the staff in install
sales this was not available through a Lowes transaction.
I started researching the matter and discovered on the ThermaTru website that
matching stain could be ordered for an additional charge. When I returned
to the store,I spoke with a person named Greg from Install Sales for the first
time, and he pulled up the information on a computer and found the stain. He
stated that he would call the factory and determine if the order could be
placed. He called me back the same day, within hours, and told me that
the stain could be ordered, but that I would have to come in to pay for the
product before the order could be placed. Which I did that day.
This latter situation represented the first time that anyone from Lowes took the
time to look up information and actually called back.
Today I went to the store again to determine the status of the expedited door jamb
extension. I was told that the information was not available but that I
would be called back by someone from install sales.
Much to my surprise a holiday replacement employee working in install sales called
back took my information, and returned the call to feel me that the factory was
closed today, and she would make sure that someone followed up on Wednesday.
The employee, Carol, was very helpful and timely.
At this point, I have been paying for a door and installation for two months and I
still don't have it. In all likelihood this entire process will not be
completed by the end of three months.
As of 14 January the jamb extension is not in the store and can not be installed and I am still waiting for notification of delievery.
I never though that I would be so dissatisfied with Lowes. I felt that this
situation should be brought to your attention.
The keys to this experience is that the personnel at Lowes that I dealt with were not informed on the product. The Therma Tru is not a company that provides a quality product in a timely manner, and the Lowes sale personnel are very ineffective at customer service through maintaining communication.

The experience was fine. The price was fine. The water heater is still working. It has a 9-year warranty and it is in the 10th year, so everything is fine. They charged $288 for the water heater and around $160 for installation. They had a special going for the installation and the whole package came in less than $500. They contracted the people to do the installation. The guy who came out and did the work was punctual, did the job properly and I had no problems.

Her name is Julie and she was extremely helpful. They took in the sizes of what I wanted and she put together 3 cabinets for one area and another cabinet in one area. We'd install it ourselves but she's very specific about how it needed to be installed and I called her after we got the cabinets and she always had time for me. We went through the instructions and I never felt I was dumb.
