Josh and his assistant, Dave, painted the exterior and interior of our home.  They were very professional, helpful, and accommodating.  They were prompt and are great about returning phone calls.  They had some helpful suggestions to what was necessary and what was optional regarding repairs.  They went above and beyond what we expected.  They are very easy to work with and they have great attitudes.  I am meticulous, and I asked them to touch up a few minor things.  They were very receptive to my request and readily did so. They do great work.   I most certainly recommend their services.  I will most certainly use them again.

Very well, had a minor misunderstanding with one door, but was resolved sufficiently.

The Painter gave me the estimate in the Fall.  He prepared two prices.  One price was for late Fall painting and the second price was for early spring.  We chose to wait until Spring.  Due to a rainy spring, the painter did not arrive until June to paint.  He could not find the estimate he gave me so I made a copy of the estimate he provided me.  The painters started prepping the house and also began painting.  I noticed that several areas that needed repair had been ignored and just painted over without repair.  I had discussed in the Fall and also in the Spring of 2011, that I wanted these rotted areas repaired with new wood.  He told me that he had someone he used to repair the wood and that would be no problem.  He did mention that there would be extra charges for the repairs and I agreed to pay for those.  As the painters continued he used bondo instead of replacing the wood.  He told me that he was a painter and that's all he did.  He suggested that I had promised to have the areas repaired before he started and I reminded him that he told me he would take care of that.  In the end repaired some of the areas with bondo.  All of these areas with the exception of one, do not look good.  They are rough, dimpled and not smooth.  He also left me with four areas that needed wood replacement.  In all of these areas, he had just repainted and did not tell me about them.  I found them and could easily stick my finger into the rotted wood.  He asked me to have them repaired and he would come back and repaint for me.

I enjoyed working with this painter, but was very disappointed that promised were not kept and that I still have the hassle of handling these issues after the painters have left.  He also argued with me about the price saying that the 5200.00 was the price from last fall and not this spring, but I showed him the contract with his two prices and he stopped arguing that point.  He did tell me over and over that he could 'up-charge' me on several other things, but that he wouldn't this time.

I think if the painter would have stuck to his original agreement, bid the job properly and then followed through, I would have been 100% pleased.  The paint job is beautiful.  I'm very pleased with it.  I am not pleased that I was placed in a very compromising position by the painter and that several agreements were not completed as promised.

If I were to use him again, I'd have my carpenter come first and repair all places and then have him paint only.

He was on time each day, paid close attention to details, helped me pick the colors and stuck to original estimate. We plan to hire Josh again to finish the rest of the house.
