TWIN H TREE FARMS INC

This is the 2nd time I've used Twin H Tree Farms for landscaping in my yard. Kathleen and Zac are wonderful folks who have a creative eye for what will look good, and the knowledge about available plants to help me make good choices. For each area, they removed old perennials, moved others, removed weeds and dead limbs, and then planted and mulched the new perennials. The areas they worked on would have taken me weeks of hard labor to clear, plant and clean up. They did everything in 2 days. They also guarantee what they plant. We had a rough winter and they replaced about 8 plantings that didn't return. I highly recommend Twin H Tree Farms for landscaping.

Our family has made a tradition of going to HH Tree Farm together for our Christmas trees. This year we bought a pre-cut tree out of their barn instead of cutting it from one of their fields.
When we got home we discovered that the tree was actually extremely crooked; the fact that we made it home with a very crooked tree is our own fault, I should have inspected the tree more closely (outside in good light instead of inside the dimly lit barn). The REAL disappointment was when I saw a plastic tag hanging from the trunk, hidden in the growth. The tag was from a local home improvement store!
Now, Twin H does not, to my knowledge, claim that every tree they sell is grown on the premises. But they're a TREE FARM, for crying out loud, I think every customer they've ever had has assumed, as I did, that they only sell trees grown there. I was stunned and really disappointed to discover that Twin H may have driven up the road, purchased a tree from the home improvement store for less than $18, and then marked it up by 70% before selling it to me for $30.
I think that Twin H owes it to their customers to be absolutely forthcoming about the source of every tree they sell. I really feel I've been hoodwinked, and I'll probably look for another place to take my family to get a tree next year, even if that means driving well outside the Bloomington area.

UPDATE: The owner of Twin H contacted us and explained how that tree had ended up in their possession when a supplier inadvertently unloaded some lower-quality trees at Twin H that should have gone to the home improvement store. The owner was horrified that the error had occurred and absolutely turned himself inside-out to resolve the situation to my satisfaction. I am completely happy with the final outcome since the owner went over and above to rectify the problem.
