Job started July 10, 2008. Workers were supposed to come everyday. The job was supposed to take 8 weeks. Sometimes two workers, sometimes no one would show up for days. During excavation the electrical power to an outbuilding was cut, after it was clearly marked. We had no power to our outbuildings for 3 months after promises to fix. Roof trusses up Aug. and roof didn't get shingled until Sept. 20. The roof leaked 3 times, and since the drywall was up already, that had to be re-taped and mudded, and insulation replaced. Siding finally went up in Sept. but the soffitts and fascia and the gutter still needs to be done. Kept getting promises and nothing was done. Found out later that nothing was being paid for, which is why material was not on site. In the last week in Sept Tucker foreman said the company is no longer in business. Another company would possibly finish the work, but it would cost more than the original estimate. Still needed flooring layed, walls drywalled and painted, trim, doors, plumbing and electrical. The yard is torn up. No backfill, Wall is still cracked and the Tucker construction and the company who built that wall doesn't want to take responsibility to fix it. We are having to get estimates to get the work completed. And we are having to pay for material and labor we thought we had already payed for. Since it is now turning into winter and the weather getting colder this needs to get done before the weather gets worse.
Description of Work: They were hired to add a garage and a room over the garage. Remodel existing bedroom into a bathroom. Block wall and concrete floom poured. Block wall was poor quality. No mortar between joints, Wall cracked from top to bottom. (can see daylight through it). Concrete garage floor was supposed to slope to the front so water would drain out. Floor was level, no water drained out. Entry door was roughed in 2" too short and 3" too wide. Special entry door was ordered. Should have been 3'-0, ordered was 2'-6. Framing of rooms and roof. Some drywall and some painting. Painting had to be re-done 3 times due to poor quality. (we ended up painting it again ourselves). The closets were built the incorrect size. Shingled roof after 2 months of roof just had paper on it. Roof leaked 3 times, before it was shingled. Partially wired. Partially plumbed.
