We've been using PC Max since June of 2012, and the main reason we got started with them was because they are on the east side of Bloomington, in Eastland Plaza - with plenty of easy parking (and they do come to your home or business when necessary). Some of our friends will not use them because they think they are rather pricey; people like that use a college or high school kid, and it seems to work for them because they have very simple computer needs. Our needs are not all that simple, and usually when things go wrong, it's not a quick fix either. The two guys from PC Max who have been to our home several times are not only knowledgeable, they were very pleasant to work with (and chat with) - and even though the main issue is to get your computers and other devices running properly, when you're spending a couple of hours with someone it's nicer when that person is pleasant to be with. For established customers, they do try to give you advice over the phone, and occasionally that does fix the problem, with no need for a house call (or to take a small device in to the shop). They do sell desktop and laptop computers, configured to order for each customer, but they will also work on stuff you have bought elsewhere - and in our case, some of that stuff is rather antique, but we are reluctant to part with it. The PC Max staff who have been to the house (and others that I have talked to on the phone) have all been very tolerant of our preferences, and have not told us to pitch out the ancient stuff that hardly anyone uses anymore. I DO THINK PC MAX SHOULD BE SPELLED AS TWO WORDS IN THE LISTINGS, AND CATEGORIZED UNDER and quot;COMPUTER REPAIRand quot; - I HAD TROUBLE FINDING IT!

A friend of mine told me about these guys, but I was still a bit skeptical. But they really do know what they're doing. Same guys that have been fixing computers for about 20 years.
