Mitch was due to come next Wednesday but called my husband and said he could come by earlier if we needed him to.  This was great as I did not want the puppy doing even more extensive damage. (This was the second time this month we needed the carpet repaired).  Moriarty was recommended to my husband by his realtor.  We were happy with the service provided.  He needed to cut out from our remnant another piece of carpet to repair the damage.  You can't even tell where the damage was.  I was happy with the service.  The price seemed a bit high for the time involved but I'm not too sure what something like this would cost normally.  We would use this company again.

We had gone in to store looking for a specific grout for our tile job.  Was quoted a price but to have it shipped to his store would cost an additional $70 for a $90 order.    We asked where it was being shipped from and Mitch told us Indianapolis.   We offered to go pick it to avoid the cost.  He called supplier and made order.   When we arrived to pickup the grout the supplier charged us $60 and asked that we pay them directly.   We gave them our credit card and were charged by the supplier.   After checking my credit card statement I noticed I was charged $60 from supplier and $90 from Mitch from Moriarty Floor Covering.  I called Mitch who told me we weren't supposed to be charged by the supplier as he had already paid them which the supplier had denied.   I confronted him about 40% markup.   I felt this was excessive since we made the drive to Fishers to pick it up. (3 hour roundtrip)   He disagreed and was totally unprofessional and actually hung up on me.   I understand they need to make money but this seems a bit high and his lack of professionalism was very disappointing.  I would not use them again.  Had considered having them do our carpeting but since this incident we have changed our minds.

Moriarty's prices were competitive and we liked that they were a local family owned business. We had a tight timeline because we were buying a new house and wanted the carpet in before we moved. We were assured that they could meet our timeline and be finished by the time we moved in. The installation team did not show up at the times communicated, which left someone waiting around for them on two different days. when they finally started, there was not enough time to complete the work, but they stayed late the night before we moved in and got everything finished. When we got to the house with the movers we finally saw the finished product. The carpet was beautiful and felt great; however, there were carpet fibers and staples left all over the carpet. We had to race and find the vacuum so that the movers could do their job. It took us hours to clean up all the carpet fibers and staples. When I called to complain, I was told that they do not vacuum after installation and haven't had any complaints in 30 years. I never would have thought that i needed to ask about what their clean-up process is when i hired them. When I am spending any amount of money, I expect my home to be left in the same condition it was left in and for a contractor to clean up all debri they create in the process of their work.

Everything with them was great. However, I did have to have some discussion with them regarding the installation. I spent about $6,000 on the job. I would use them again in the future; they would be my first choice.
