In both cases the technician quickly diagnosed the problem, had the parts on hand, and completed the repair on the same visit.

Once inside, he determined that a piece had come loose and was rattling as the washing machine was spinning.  He reattached the part and it worked fine.  No parts necessary.

We did not hear from them for at least a week following their initial visit to diagnose the problem. They did not return several of our calls. Finally, after more than a week, we reached them and they said they would be at our house the following afternoon to complete the repair. They never showed up. We have not heard back from them since, and our refrigerator still is not working.

Bill told us that we needed to replace both our washer and dryer, telling us what the two best brands were.  He advised us to go to Sears and told us that he would pick up the equipment and install it for the price of just a little more than a service call.  He is one of the most ethical and reliable people in the business, and we'll call him if anything ever goes wrong.  As it happened, Sears did not have the appliances in their store, so Bill couldn't pick them up and install them for us.  Sears told us that if the new appliances had to be shipped from the warehouse to their store to be picked up, we couldn't get the washer and dryer until late in January.  We opted to have Sears deliver and install the appliances.

Fridge leaked water in kitchen, called McGarry. Came promptly, after I was finally able to catch him, replaced part quickly and at a reasonable cost.
I have used McGarry Appliance for many years, for all my appliance repairs. Excellent service at reasonable cost. He is a very busy man, so sometimes it is a little difficult to get hold of him, but it's worth the trouble.

We have used McGarry Appliance in the past due to excellent service. Our dryer stopped working one evening. We called the next morning and were able to set up an appointment for the following day. They arrived on time, identified and fixed the problem quickly (had parts on hand) and the cost was very reasonable. Will use them again in the future when and if needed.
