One of the company's plumbers visited for about 30 min. I had not expected that long a visit. When I called, I wasn't told there was a fee (cited below) for estimate. When we got the bill, I objected to the fee. Owner suggested a compromise that was acceptable. They were recommended by a contractor/friend, who said they were good, but not cheap. I should have asked the company about fees. They are probably out of my price range, so if the "hire again" question above had a "Maybe," I would have selected that. In the future I hope to remember to ask contractors if their estimate is free.

We contacted Mann through Angie's List. We had used them for our sump pump about a year ago and were happy with the work. This time, they were able to get started as soon as they came out to provide us with an estimate. A pipe was tied in to the existing lines under the house and run up to the front wall. When I asked about 'freeze protection' after they were done, the installer was very helpful in showing us how the system worked and exactly what to do to prevent any problems, even showing us a failed unit in his truck that burst over the winter.

I have no issue with the work that was performed. The tech showed up on time, good nature, worked quickly. The issue I have is I had a on/off switch for a jetted tub that needed replaced, and also requested a quote to instal two gas lines. They were supposed to get back after the part arrived and then provide a quote for the gas line. After about 2 weeks not hearing from them I called to follow up, was told they were still waiting for the part. I requested for the quote installing the gas line, they said they would get back. Long and short after two more weeks of calling with no update I gave up. I called another plumber, they were out on a Wednesday to provide an estimate, had everything completed on Friday (2 days later).

Mann Plumbing gave me the impression they were not interested in doing the work. That being the case they should have been up front from the beginning as I wouldn't have lost four weeks trying to get a relatively simply job completed. I also shouldn't have been the one to make the calls and check on the status. That is poor communication and responsiveness.

I have been using him for about over 25years. They are the only company I would trust. He is very knowledgeable, thorough, dependable, and friendly. They are always on time and when you call them they are very prompt and come out as son as possible. He is a master at solar heating. He always looks for ways for you to become energy efficient.

The experience from estimate to service completion has always been very professional. The service staff are congenial, and most importantly, clean up after themselves. The cost can be a bit higher with Mann, but the result is top quality work done to the highest of standards. We will continue to use them in the future.
