Mike came out and went over our options and helped us decide which system was best for us. He was very informative and addressed all of our questions and concerns. The final bill was exactly what we were quoted. The crew showed up at the scheduled time. Although they did the complete installation including duct work, they were very sloppy about it. The electrical wiring was strung loosely under the house in the crawl space. They even strung it under the duct work instead of attaching it to the floor joists. They did not seem to be interested in making sure the installation was up to code.

Couldn't have been better. Mike educated us on our options and gave us several quotes. He and his crew were on time and did an excellent job of installation; everything has worked perfectly.

At first, the owner, Mike Lowers, was very pleasant and easy to work with as he was installing the entire HVAC system for my new house during the construction phase.  Not being an expert at HVAC, I thought everything was going smoothly.  Shortly after moving in, I noticed our geothermal system was making excessive noise.  During further investigation, I read the manual that came with the unit on how it should be installed.  The manual said that certain vibration isolation steps should be taken by putting a rubber pad underneath the unit and isolation the unit with a soft duct transition before going to the sheetmetal ducting that runs through the house.  Mike did none of these.  When I questioned him on it, he became very angry and unable to communicate.  He would never come out and resolve the installation.  I had already paid him his money at that point in time, so he had no reason to appease me.  After having enough of trying to deal with Mike, I called a more reputable and larger HVAC company to come out and take a look.  Within 30 minutes, they had identified multiple issues with the system, from the sound isolation, a cheap commercial geopump was used (instead of a residential which are made to be quieter and the price Lowers charged me wasn't cheap), improper air flow through the house, and the fresh air exchanger was not installed properly.  This is all now going to cost me thousands of dollars to fix after the fact.  I would definitely not recommend Mike for any new house installs especially if they have a geothermal unit.

The job went better than we had hoped. Mike Lowers came to price the job. He had a crew of two with him. His price was less than half the other bid we received and his approach to the project was simpler and better than the other bidder’s approach. We said Yes. His crew had the plenum replaced by mid afternoon.
You can’t beat that outcome.

The job itself was simple and went just fine. The impressive thing happened when Mike Lowers came out to spec the job. Because of a permanent drop ceiling on our lower level, it is not possible to access the heat/AC runs under the floors of the main level from below. However, it was possible to stick a head through a small opening and survey the situation. Mike was the third person to spec the job. The first two said it could not be done without extreme damage to the drop ceiling. Mike studied the situation and spotted a heat/AC run that was directly under the kitchen floor where we needed the additional outlet. What had seemed to be an impossible job ended up taking less than an hour: cut a small rectangle in the kitchen subfloor and install about a foot of duct.
