Lee Supply

Terrible.  We order a Kohler tub and fixtures mid April 2014.  Not cheap. We were told it would be 4-6 weeks.  Arrangements were made with our contractor to begin late May.  When the time came Lee informs us that some of the parts were on back-order and would arrive in a week.  The week came and no parts.  Again the same story.  The contractor has begun working and we have a series of guests scheduled through mid-July.  Finally in mid- June, we are told that Kohler had blown the production and the parts would not arrive until July 4th. 
So after approx 10-12 weeks we learn the parts have arrived. Our contractor goes to Lee Supply to pick-up the parts.  He has to stand around for 1.25 hours while they wait on another customer.  Then there is confusion about the location of the parts.  He finally gets the parts after all this hassle and installs the equipment. 
During this delay our guests including elderly folks have to walk to the basement to take a shower.  Thank goodness we had an understanding and flexible contractor.
Never will use Lee Supply or Kohler again.  Lee Supply was behind the 8 ball the whole way and Kohler, well you might expect this from a supplier who builds in China, but not for the premium you pay for this American made product.

I thought they would be much more expensive than Lowes but in some cases lower but better quality and service.

Most of the actual work was done by our wonderful plumber, Vince Beyer, and the mistakes that were made were not his responsibility.  The guy who did the cultured marble installation is evidently out of business - no big surprise there.

We decided to change the floor plan of our kitchen including new cabinetry. Steve helped us select the cabinetry including the various units and helped to insure that there were no unforseen mistakes in our new kitchen design or measurement. He thought of everything and did catch our mistake. He was terrific to work with and especially patient with people who knew nothing about design. He is really good at that aspect of remodeling. We plan to remodel a bathroom and will go to Steve for that project also.
