We called Harris Service and in 2 hours they were here moving furniture, pulling out carpets and drying out the basement. The guys were very professional and done a great job. They were very reasonable with their pricing. We were self pay our insurance did not cover the loss and Glenn’s price was good. We plan to have them do the reconstruction of th damages and remodel the basement bathroom. We would highly recommend this company!

My insurance company told me to call who ever I wanted to have them come and clean up the water and that would be all I needed to do. I called serve pro and they came out and spent 20 minutes and took a moisture reading. They said they would get back to me about cleaning. They never did. My neighbor told me to call Harris services. When I called and told him what happened they said they would send the owner out right away. Glenn the owner came out within 20 minutes and took readings and said he didn?t think anyone really knew how big of a problem I had from all the water and that they were going to have to replace the ceiling and the flooring. They raised the temp in the house and had fans and dehumidifiers everywhere to dry everything out. It took 2 and a half weeks to dry it out completely before they could even start the demolition. They came in every day and took readings. They didn?t just come in and bring the equipment in and leave and come back a week later to do the work. They came every day to make sure the readings were where they wanted them. They had certain numbers they wanted and just kept going until it was right. They brought the demolition guys in and they picked a spot in the house and decided instead of putting my furniture in storage they would leave it in the house. They thought it would be safer that way. They moved all the furniture very carefully from one end to the other end of the house and wrapped anything they needed to. Then they started to take out all the cabinets in the house and they stored those in my garage. Then they started the demolition of the entire wood floor on the main level and half the ceiling in the basement. The wood floor was going to be hard to match. They ordered from a local store and it was 100% Indiana hard wood. They took their time with the floor and tried to blend it piece by piece so it looked great. They would ask if I liked it or not, so I could decide and we worked our way through the entire house. It was like a jigsaw puzzle and took a long time because they wanted it to look right. They took up all the baseboards and were able to save them. They painted them and put them back after they were done. They painted all the cabinets and put them back. There was not a scratch on any of my furniture. They always asked me what I liked. They were so conscious of the customer trying to make them comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. They were so wonderful. They did exactly what they said they would. They did all the dealings with the insurance companies and I didn?t have to deal with anything. Every one of his guys were so helpful and very kind to me and any friends I had over. All the guys help each other even if it is not their specialty. There was no smoking ever on the property and they made sure their shoes were off or covered any time they came in and out. They were just all super careful. I will use this company for any future work I have.

The two service people arrived on time, were courteous and did a great job. The tile and carpet in our ten year old home look brand new.

Harris service in terms of drying out my  home was top notch and professional. The final bill was excessive in my opinion. As a previous board member of a townhouse community in Bloomington Indiana,  I have dealt with companies like Harris in the past. In my previous role I hired a similar firm to remove standing water from a townhouse in the community. This required removing bathroom vanities and dry wall throughout the home as well as standing water and drying it out. We had to call in plumbers and it was real mess. The final bill from the that company was $4700 dollars for everything. My bill was $6000 dollars from Harris and all they used was  9 fans and 2 floor mats and they did not have to physically remove any water from my home or any fixtures, appliances, or vanities  In my opinion this company is very deceptive in revealing the price before they do the work. If you use this company (and they are good) make sure you negotiate the price first before doing any business with them.

The workmen were wonderful, prompt and knowledgeable. Communication and logistics of the main office were subpar.  Even the workman didn't know the schedule of when things were to be done.

It was a trust worthy company overall except for the actual workers.  The person who was running the crew was first time out and had no certification and no expertise.  In fact I am still trying to figure out who did the plumbing work.  When they worked on my toilet, they didn’t do it properly and I had to have my garage ceiling replaced again.  They did a great job on the water damage and a poor job on the restoration.

Very successful. They did a good job and I was very pleased with the results. My concern was finding someone who knew how to handle wool rather than finding the lowest price so I did not shop around and therefore cannot say how the price compares to others in the area, but I thought it was reasonable considering the amount of work required for the area rugs. Mr. Harris took my concerns about damage to the rugs seriously and gave me clear, and reassuring, explanations of the processes that would be used to clean my rugs. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant. A scheduling snafu with return of the area rugs was the only problem and it was minor.

Cleaning was great as far as I can tell, service was prompt. Have not had problems with allergies since. Seems a little expensive. Only problem - they left off the access panel for the furnace filter, so the system was circulating right until I noticed it a week later.

They were excellent! Arrived on time, friendly and professional. This furniture hasn't been cleaned ever, in the 10+ years I've had it. Also have pets that are constantly on it. They made them look like new, and got all the stains out too.
