Bill seemed knowledgeable, even providing a detailed landscaping plan for plantings in the plant beds and additional trees. In addition to arranging for additional topsoil applied to my lawn, Bill suggested installing a drain box for the drain pipe opening and placing sod around the area. Bill also suggested that it would be economical to build up and mulch the plant beds at the same time as the lawn renovation. Everything seemed to go fairly well. A week after installation though, the entire drain box came out of the ground after a rainstorm. Bill came back and re-installed the drain box with the addition of a concrete base. After the Hydroseeding of the lawn, millet - supposedly only 10% of the seed - instantly germinated and took root. Bill said this was a precursor to getting the lawn started and guaranteed complete coverage within a few weeks. Despite thorough watering as directed, the most of the fescue seed never germinated. Upon hearing this, Bill insisted we keep up the watering cycle. In September, I attempted to contact Bill repeatedly. After a month, I finally contracted with another landscaper to provide lawn aeration and overseeding. Within one week, this new seed immediately germinated. Additional attempts to reach Bill have proven unsuccessful. I now know that Bill put down Bermuda grass sod around the drain box instead of fescue sod as the rest of the lawn. This is to be removed and replaced with the correct sod. Also, most of the additional soil Bill added was clay which has proven to be full of rock and debris and a very poor base for the lawn. From the nurseryman who originally referred me to Bill Murrow now knows that Bill has left the state, leaving numerous unpaid bills and at least one unsatisfied customer in myself.
