CHOICE REALTY & MANAGEMENT

We have had issues with this company from the beginning. There were about 15-20 maintenance issues that should have been resolved before we moved in. They were not fixed and the unit was empty for months before we took possession, so there were no time constraints. Furthermore, the unit had not been cleaned properly. When we saw the duplex, I had concern about the cat urine smell in the apartment. I was told by management that it was from the adhesive used on the new carpet. I have since found out that the previous tenant had at least 10 cats and that she didn't take care of them very well. Every time we have something fixed, it is never done correctly. It always looks good but the issue will reappear in a very short amount of time. We have also had many issues with the rudeness of the maintenance crew. I once had a member of maintenance tell me "tough s***" when he shut off my water to repair a leak. I understand why that was necessary but I was brushing my teeth and he knew about it. When I told Choice Realty and Management about it, I was told that I should not have been fighting with him and that it was my fault. Recently, I have been having problems with the new maintenance/mowing crew. They have started to remove my dogs chain anchor. This anchor is two feet long and requires a lot of effort to bury in the ground. I have asked them to stop but they just ignore me. It has been my experience that Choice Realty and Management does not care about their tenants. When an issue is brought to their attention, they always side with the current company working for them and do the least amount of work possible.
