Bob Wood Construction

I thought I was getting quality materials and work. This was not the case! He used the cheapest materials and the poorest quality of workers I have ever seen. He ran the sofit in the wrong direction and it sagged and warped. He did not use treated wood for all the work. He used the wrong size rafters (2x4 instead of 2x6 and they are now beginning to sag). He used raw wood in places that should have had treated wood. He did not wrap the wood on the back side under the overhand and left raw wood to warp. We found one 2x4 with a 2 inch bend . He did not install gutter boards for the gutter. He did not put fascia on raw exposed wood and when I pointed this out he told me I could just paint it myself. The roofing was not done correctly because the pitch of the roof is not high enough for singles. The singles he did put on were nailed on top of the decking without and material to prevent water leakage nor any ice shield to prevent water from freezing. He paid little attention to any detail work. This is what nightmares are made of.

We were told that the project would take about ten days to complete. It took about a month. It looks like he starts a job promptly but takes on many other projects and abandons some to work on others. The crew did not clean up after themselves and we had to point out things that had been left undone to them when they were preparing to leave after they had "finished" the job. A few of the post holes were never backfilled, and some spots where they'd dug holes but never placed a post were never backfilled. Some of the underlying frame work looks jury rigged and slipshod. Will not work with him again.

We were satisfied with the work and it was delivered as promised and on time.

Bob was on top of the job and k picked it out the next day after getting me a quote.

Bob Wood is a phenomenal contractor to work with. He and his workmen were able to repair and stain our worn out 30 year old deck so that it looks new! He and his workmen are professional and friendly. Their work was of the highest quality and done at a reasonable price. They completed the work in a short time. I have no reservations about giving Bob Woods my highest recommendation.

Bob is exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable in construction. He offered good advice on our project and completed the work in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. We have a one of a kind historical barn, the only one of its type left in all of the U.S. I have interviewed a large number of workers over the past 3.5 years to see if I could approve of their proposed efforts in restoring this great piece of History. When I spoke with Bob Wood, I was pleased to learn of his vast skills and experience in construction. This rare barn was in severe stress and many people said give up on it and dont waste your time. Bob saw what others could not and Bob and his great crew worked the weekends to bring this wonderful piece of history back for all to enjoy. Bob has also worked on other properties we own and there his skills and efforts also rang true to his talents, repairing the home to where the repairs blended in so well they would be difficult for the untrained eye to see. Bob offers fantastic skills and workmanship at a very good and honest price. We have many more projects that we will only trust to Bob and his team. We feel that it is important to find a highly skilled professional to trust your home and properties too and Bob Wood is that man.

Bob and his crew did a very nice job. Iâ ll have them over to do more work for sure. I had 4 decks to tear out the deck boards and replace. Also railings and spindles on much of the deck. Other than it took a few extra days to complete, they did a very nice job. Bob and his crew were very courteous and willing to assist with some minor changes and it was very nice when completed.

Came out quickly. Did a great job. I'll use him again if I need a repair or replacement fence
