Lloyd was great, and `explained all the service required in a way i could understand. He expressed the what, the why, and the how. We have now found our service center from now on.

They're really good. I would just give them A's throughout. The one thing I really like about them is that they don't talk down to me because I'm a woman taking my car in. They really take me serious.

Very thorough and knowledgeable. I appreciated being able to look at the condition of the brakes with the technician before repairs were done.

Replaced all 4 brake rotors on my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Lloyd kept me informed as to their findings, as I had to leave vehicle overnight. Mechanic also discovered a loose caliper bolt that had been stripped by previous service provider. Estimated cost was very reasonable. Everyone at shop very friendly. Being new to the area, I was concerned in finding a good , honest, quality service center, for all my vehicles. Will use AutoChoice for all my car repairs.

The folks here were awesome!  I drove down from Indy to Bloomington to check out a used VW Beetle.  I called ahead to Choice to see if they could check the car out,  and they said they would work me in.  At first they proposed the next day, then realized I was travelling from Indy.  I arrived with the car and they got right on it.  Within 45 minutes they had a list of problems and potential big problems with the car.  They asked me how badly I wanted it - it was a cute convertible - but a few thousand into repairs, I could walk away.  I then asked how much I owed, and they said zip.  With the problems they found, they did not hook it up to the computer for engine diagnostics.  That was $95, but they figured I had already heard enough.  They could have done that and I would have been none the wiser.  Wow!  I am very impressed with their integrity, service, and professionalism.  Service manager, Lloyd, was very pleasant and friendly - my wait flew by.  I highly recommend this company.

They were very friendly and professional, I also very much appreciated the way Lloyd goes over the receipt with you when you pick up the car. They are also very accommodating about scheduling.

They've always been fantastic; I originally went to them not knowing what my issues were but kept going back because they did such a great, earnest and honest job of finding and fixing my car's issues.  I've had plenty of experiences with other mechanics who try to sell me more than I need, but the Auto Choice mechanics have always been patient and fair with me, explaining what I need to fix but not pressuring me to do so if I say it's not currently in my budget.  The mechanics have always been willing to show me what's wrong and help me understand my car and it's issues better if I ask questions, and I've always valued their great customer service.

My car first began leaking coolant from a crack in the antifreeze tank around the beginning of May 2014. I called AutoChoice to ensure that they were able to work on Volvo cars before taking my car in right away. I left my car and keys with the mechanic to have it looked at and see about replacing the tank. They got back with me within a few days and said that the tank did need replaced and that it would be around $300 for the parts, and I was told I could use the Angie's List 10% off coupon so I agreed to this price and told them to go ahead and fix it.
After a couple more days I received a call and was told that they took the car out to test it out after the repair and it began overheating. It was then determined that the water pump, timing belt, and head gasket would need replaced which was quoted to me at $3,000. I was shocked but when I was told the car would not drive without these repairs I agreed to the price after talking with my husband. They began making these repairs and took a little over a week and a half before I heard back from them again.

This time I was informed that they had recieved a call from the machine shop where they had sent one of the parts from my car and that they were told the part could not be ground down anymore and simply would not work in the car without causing it to explode. I was told that I had two options, but that the only realistic option was to replace the engine with a new engine being quoted at $8,000 and a used engine they had located for $5,300 plus tax. I was devestated but had to agree to the used engine replacement in order to have the car that I desperately needed back for work. So I called them back and discussed the options again, agreeing to the used engine for "$5,300 plus tax" as I was quoted and I asked if that would be the final price. I was told that it should be very close and that he had to speak with the boss and refigure the invoice. I asked that he call me witht the final price the following day which would have been a Friday, he said he would call back with the final figures by Monday at the latest. I did not receive a call the following day or the following Monday, it was 2 weeks before I was called again.
I was called 2 weeks later and told that they had replaced the engine but that it had come from the place they bought it from with many parts removed and cut during the process of removing it from the car that it had been in when they ordered it, so the man on the phone told me that it was "$6,700 and the engine is already in the car, we are still waiting on a
few more parts but that shouldn't cost much more." I was beyond words at this point and trying to hold back tears. I tried to ask how the cost of what the supplier had done to the engine was that bad and I was simply told that they "never know what they're going to get." But somehow I was supposed to take on the cost of the damaged engine? I will admit that I was emotional due to my pregnancy and tried to get off the phone as soon as possible.
I let my husband know of the situation and he called the following day to talk to a manager, trying to understand how the price had gone up so much from what we had agreed upon and why we were responsible for the damaged engine when we were promised a used but perfectly good engine with no damages. He was told that they never knew what they were going to get and that they had already tried to bring the price down by several hundred dollars just to get it to the current price, and when he asked why they did not call us when they discovered it was going to cost much more than estimated and was not what we had ordered the man on the phone avoided the question and got angry with my husband. When asked why no one had given us a call to report the final price, we were told that it had taken a "few days to get the invoice figured out." Which was in fact 2 weeks. After several minutes of my husband asking these and similar questions to try to understand how this had happened and why we were not consulted before the engine was installed and it was too late to make any decisions, the man on the phone said that he would have to call the owner and let us know anything further. After around 10 minutes we received a call back from the man we had spoken to previously and were told that they could only bring the price down to $5,900, he said that was all that they could do and there was still one more part to be added but that it should not cost much at all.
We were called about a week later and told that the final parts were in and it was ready for pick up and payment. My husband went in to pick up the car and write out the check for payment, upon trying to use the Angie's List coupon he was denied until some other form of management came out to the desk and grudgingly accepted it when my husband stated that we had been
promised we could use it from the start. The final bill after the coupon was around $5,500.

Response from AutoChoice Service Center Inc
"As you can see from the other reviews on our profile we work extremely hard to provide first class service, professionalism, and reasonable pricing to all of our clients. In fact, we go to great lengths to ensure customer satisfaction. In this circumstance, much of what occurred was out of our control and we are sorry for any inconvenience experienced. However, we do value the feedback provided and look forward to using it to strengthen our services and customer experiences."

The service provided at Auto Choice is very professional and customer driven. The guys at the desk made me feel like they had my best interest at heart and made suggestions that would save me money. I was there to get an oil change but needed a new battery too. My car battery should have been on warranty so they urged me to find a receipt or some confirmation that the battery was under two years old so that they could provide me with a free battery that day. Unfortunately I could not find documentation so there was nothing they could do but i was pleased that they tried. They even tried contacting the business I bought the battery from.  As expected, the battery was more expensive than from a department store. My car has somewhat of a rare battery, but they had it in stock. The guy at the front desk also had my safety in mind and urged me to rotate the tires for upcoming seasonal weather.

This was the second time I've taken my car to Autochoice for car repairs. The first time, they installed a new wheel bearing and changed my oil. This time, they diagnosed a check engine light, discovered it was the oxygen sensor, and repaired it for me.
The staff at Autochoice is always friendly and polite. When Adam called to tell me what was wrong, he took a decent amount of time to explain what was wrong, why it was important, and what they recommended be done to fix it.
One of the things I like is how thorough they are - they drive the car before working on it, and also afterward to make sure that they fix the problem. I feel fairly confident that they do a good job (it is always so hard to know regarding costs, etc) - and will continue to use this garage for my car repairs.

They did it MUCH cheaper than the dealer was going to do it, and it works perfect. It took one day, and I had my car back promptly.
Very happy. I now can have heat in my car.
