The work began when they said it would, it proceeded as planned. They cleaned up each day, explained what they would do and finished as planned on budget. The men were very courteous and the result is beautiful.

They did a perfect job and I was very happy with their work. They were very nice and I would definitely hire them again. I will recommend them as well.

I don't often write glowing reviews since I have unusually high standards for the work performed on our home. But in the case of the work done by Sivells Masonry I will make an exception. The quality of the work done and the absolute attention to detail were the best I've experienced with any contractor on any home project in the past 40 years. If something wasn't done perfectly the crew tore it out and redid it without being asked to do so. In most of those cases I couldn't even see the imperfections but they were not satisfied. After each day's work they completely cleaned the work area, leaving it as though they had never been there. They kept us informed as to what they were doing and answered all of our questions. I strongly recommend Sivells without hesitation. The work crew of Alex, Mario and Adam were as close to artisans as you will find.

Scott Sivells and his 3 work companions did an outstanding job.  They were very professional in everything that they did.  The project took about 5 days to complete. They put up scaffolding the first day and game back every day except when it rained to complete the job.  They cleaned up the work space every day after they were done for that day.  The workmanship is truly outstanding and my wife and I are very pleased with the results. We would hire them again when and if a need arises. 
We would also highly recommend them and  their work to anyone looking for chimney repairs or other masonry work. In addition to doing a great job for us they were extremely nice people and very easy to work with.  I interviewed 5 different chimney repair companies before making my decision. i am very pleased that I picked Sivells Masonry Inc. to do the job.

As a follow up to a previous review, Sivells did eventually complete the repair work at my mother's home. They did an excellent job, even doing a few extras at no charge. They were very polite and cleaned up well when finished. My mother is very happy with the work. My main complaint is still the lack of communication. An actual start date had been promised and that day long came and went with no contact. I understand jobs running over but I fail to see why a quick phone call to those waiting is so difficult.

There were some issues with our chimney that needed looked at. I did some research here on Angie's List and found three different providers to get some estimates and suggestions for what repairs are actually needed.

The other two providers I chose not to use, gave me an estimate for rebuilding the top of the chimney. They said it wouldn't be worth our time to simply do repair work. I was willing to do so, if that was the opinion of all three, but wasn't going to do it if it was necessary.

When Sivells Masonry came to give the estimate, I was very please that he took the time to give options. He did say at one point we should seriously consider rebuilding the top of the chimney, but also stated he could do repair work, hammer in the one block that was protruding due to ice damage and seal everything up so that the leak issues would be resolved. He explained the materials he used, the warranty they offer and gave me an estimate of when the work would be completed, should we choose to use his service.

Once we agreed to have the work completed by Sivells, they were very good about following up with us to try and schedule the repair. The weather played a role in getting it completed quickly, but that aside, I feel they did a great job of keeping me informed and completed the work as quickly as possible.

They arrived on time, completed the work within the time frame given and were very pleasant and professional. I was so impressed with the work and their demeanor that I recommended them to my mother and they completed work for her as well. When I am ready to have chimney work completed again...they will be my FIRST call.

The contractor was thorough, punctual, and friendly. He explained the pros and cons of doing the work (complete replacement vs. patch). It took a while to get the work scheduled due to delays on a previous site, but once it was on the schedule the job was done promptly. Everything was cleaned up in the front yard after each day's work. Neighbors stopped by and commented on the job and asked for the contractor's contact information.
The next time we need concrete work done we will call Sivell's Masonry right away, and may not even bother with second quotes.

We had a chimney that leaked and caused damage to the firebox.  They had to replace 42 rows of brick on the large chimney and several rows on the small furnace chimney.  ( I had two other bids and those companies did not quote the small chimney damage because they didn't even look at the smaller chimney).  They added a new masonry cap and caulked the flashing around the chimneys.  Mr. Sivell and I walked around the house and he pointed out areas that needed tuck pointing to seal the house.  On completion of the job, I could not tell the new from the old brick because Sivell's had secured matching brick and tinted the mortar to match the aged and weathered mortar.  If I had not seen the demo, I would not have believed the matching results.  I was so afraid that the new construction would be obvious but this was not the case with these professionals.  Chimneys and brick look great!  I did have some damage to the flowers underneath the work area but don't know how that could have been avoided.  I waited to file the review because I wanted to see if the chimney was repaired and I am happy to say yes.  We had several fires in our new firebox this winter.

I believe the company specializes in small masonry repair and work. The workers were great and I've had no problems with them.

Scott returned my phone call and was able to meet me at the time we discussed.  He prepared and returned a quote to me in a timely manner.  I notified him that he won my bid and we scheduled a time for him to do the work.  Scott and his son arrived on time the day of work, did professional work, were more than courteous to not only me but the other contractors working on the house and finished on time.  What more can you ask for?
Over all, Scott was timely, professional, and did not try to upsell me on anything I dont need.  I would (and already have) recommended them and would definitely use them again in the future.

He was a bit later coming than we had hoped, but once they got started, they did and excellent job of rebuilding a chimney that had been crumbling away.  This included the brickwork, the flashing, and the coating of the finished chimney.  They also were so kind as to help the 94 year-old lady of the house with straightening up a garden statue. 

It was a really a very good service and we don't have real complains. They did the job and did it well.

Sivells did the work about a year and a half ago and the sealer was coming lose.  The owner of company came and resealed the chimney with charging anything.  This is customer service at its best.  This is a company I would wholeheartedly recommend.

They were very clean and very neat. The son and father work together so well, and they did everything she asked them to and they did a great job. She was very pleased!

They were able to start a week early, which was FANTASTIC!  They called, made check with us to see if they could start early and we said yes. 
They showed up, the forman explained the process, day by day, so we knew what to expect.
A crew of workers started work and they completed the foundation job in 3 solid days of work. 
Very pleased with the quality and workmanship.
It was a very cold week, and they started work around 10am most days. A heads up would be helpful in the future so I know when to expect their arrival.  That was my only issue.

Overall great ... very professional

Everything went fine. They spent two partial days doing the work. The owner's son even power washed two decks and other stone surfaces along one side of the house.

The crew was professional, neat and tidy in appearance and workmanship. Job was completed in less time than anticipated, Great price. No damage to landscaping. Highly recommended!
