Hughes Electrical Connection

My wife and I had a couple simple electrical jobs that needed done in our bathroom: replace 2 wall switches and replace the light fixture. Because we have aluminum wiring I was a little skittish about doing it myself. I wanted to be sure it was done properly and safely by a professional. Since the jobs were small, I had some difficulty finding an electrician that would even bother coming out for a reasonable price. Most had a high minimum charge, which I felt was inappropriate for the short amount of time required. After contacting Hughes Electrical, I received a quick response and an acceptable quote. Mike Hughes was originally scheduled to come out one night after he finished another job out of town, but didn’t make it due to traffic, etc - so we rescheduled the next night. On the second night he arrived on time. I had prepped the bathroom as much as I could beforehand in order to make everything go quicker. While installing the light fixture I asked if it was possible to move it up about an inch, which he did without additional charge (he provided a new junction box). Mike had a good demeanor and we chatted most of the time he was working. He was finished in about 30 minutes. The work itself was done well, and we’re satisfied with the experience. I also had him quote a few other simple jobs that we need, and it’s likely we’ll have him out to work on those in the coming weeks. Good service, good price. Highly recommended!

I was in the process of purchasing a home. The seller was required to replace all of the old knob & tube wiring throughout the house and garage and bring all electrical up to code. They also had to install grounds for several outlets.
 I contacted mike hughes via email to do a walkthrough and inspect the home AFTER the seller's electrician finished. He promptly contacted me, set an appointment and a rate.  Mike was incredibly thorough and found that the work was not done to "code" in several aspects and was sloppily handled. Armed with this information, we were able to get the seller's electrician to come back and finish the work properly (at no cost to us.)  It was the best $150 I could have spent!  
Mike has a lot of integrity and takes pride in his workmanship. I plan on having him back to the house in the Spring to bury electrical lines and do some other work. Great experience. Highly recommend.

Very responsive and very helpful!  The technician was prompt and knowledgeable.  The work was completed promptly and professionally.  He cleaned up the work areas completely.  We were very pleased and will use this company again.

Everything was perfect. He came when he said he would and they're really reasonable with the prices. I would recommend him to any of my friends, which I do. They do pretty good work and he's really punctual and always calls before he comes out.

I was so thrilled to see that he was having some issues removing the light bulb as well. He ended up replacing the fixture on the track since the bulb had fused to the socket. He met me at 8:00 AM so I could get to a symphony on time; he is very accommodating with his availability.

He called me this morning about 10:30 and scheduled one of his crew to come out and do the work..the worker found out something was burnt out in one of the overhead lights besides the bulbs and I got an estimate from Mike and had that replaced..everything is up and running...and I no if I have any more trouble with anything Electrical I can depend on Mike and his crew for professional Great service..hes the BEST..

Everything went perfect!  They showed up on time, were very nice, and did great work!  The price was much less than other quoted companies.

They did an ok job. The price was reasonable but my problem was that he said if I did not take an invoice he would lower the price. I told him that there is no prove that the work was performed for warranty reasons. He said it would not keep him from backing his work. I told him I would take the higher price with the invoice. I just thought it was weird that he would offer a lower price without an invoice. I don' think that's in option to give to the customer. I have never heard of that before. It was not the quality of the work just thought it was this one issue.

This is the third time I've used them and I have found them to be extremely considerate, very helpful, and very professional. The price and service is unusually great. I find it rare to find people who do such an outstanding job with such quality service and still have consideration for the customer's money.

Mike and his crew were quick and professional.  They came when they said they would and did a great job.  Would recommend Mike to anyone.

Brian and Mark arrived about 10:00 A.M. with all of the necessary supplies on their truck.  They worked very efficiently, making all of the necessary connections and stringing the wires which would be pulled through the drywall at a later date.  All went well with their first phase of the project.
After the drywall and cabinets were installed, Brian and Mark arrived again at about 10:00 A.M. for their second phase of the project.  They again had all necessary supplies on their truck.  Within approximately 5 hours, they had installed 11 outlets, 5 switches, 8 can lights, 3 pendant lights, 8 task lights, the microwave, wiring for the dishwasher and garbage disposal and all went well.
They were very informative, cooperated well with other sub-contractors on the project and cleaned up after their work was completed.
Very good communication skills and neat installations.  Everything they installed was done in a professional manner.
I would certainly recommend them to my friends and  I would hire them again myself.

Mike came out and promptly gave us an estimate for the work to be completed.  The arrived on the day and at the time discussed.  They worked steadily until the job was completed.  I was very pleased with their work and demeanor. He was a pleasure to work with., he does great work and I felt comfortable with him in our home.  Mike is a great guy and does great work!  I would hire him again in a heartbeat!!

Mike is a very nice person who is knowledgeable and helpful.  He answered all my questions clearly.  The job was done quickly and cleanly.  He went out of his way to do the job before I went out of town. I would definitely use him again!

Super from start to finish.  Punctual. Called first.  Explained work and explained that, two of the working lights in the kitchen, could be updated with new ballasts for more energy efficient lights...and also told me the price (before he and his assistant made a run to Lowes to get the extra material).  Stayed an extra 10 minutes to give me a gratis estimate on the family room fan...with options because a hard wired fan in that room requires some finessing.

I was very happy with this company.  I called first thing this morning, and Mike worked me in on his way to another service call since my address was nearby and on the way.  It only took 5-10 minutes to replace the receptor and he pro-rated his service charge way down for that reason.  He was very professional and friendly.  I would definitely call him again

Electrical Connection was punctual, and the one time they were 'late'' Mike called ahead of time alerting me of the delay. To be sure, that was on a Saturday, the only day I had available for him to work on the Old House. As an aside, Ron was on time, but would no start without Mike.

The job went good and the worker knew what he was doing. They were reasonable so I recommend them. I will use them again in the future.

Mike did a great job. He is very accommodating, explains choices, and makes suggestions when warranted. He had to come back for a couple of things and it was no problem. He's really easy to work with, is very responsive, does a great job, and is a nice guy.
