Considering the overgrowth and hilly nature of the area, I was expecting to get gouged. They performed the survey and actually had to put in an extra afternoon to complete everything for the agreed fee. Eric and his staff were very professional and provided excellent service. Two other survey firms failed to even give me a quote. All in all, it was a positive experience.

They were busy when I called but fit me in due to a time constraint on my behalf. They were on site to do the survey in about two weeks. They were about 30 minutes late, but did come on the day they said they would. Very nice and professional. I would definitely use them again and have told neighbors and friends about their services.

I contacted the company for a quote to stake our property. I spoke to the owner on the phone and explained what I wanted and that I wanted to be home when they came to survey the lot as I had some questions and a past survey that conflicted with some paperwork I received. Weeks went by and I never heard back. I sent an email out a week before they came and never received a response. Frankly I had called someone else by this time, but they showed up without calling and performed the survey. Unfortunately, my husband paid them. I called them right away and spoke to the owner again. He acknowledged that he was supposed to meet with me and they had and quot;squeezedand quot; me in between jobs. He set a time to come back out to the house and never showed or called. Very unprofessional.

Very friendly, helpful company from the very beginning. Accurate analysis, and great communication. We would use them again in the future.

I initially contacted this company through their website on 10/1/13. I was called back very quickly and talked to Mr. Eric Browning. I explained I needed two residential properties surveyed. He gave me the approx. cost and told me he could do the survey within a few weeks. Per his instructions I emailed him the addresses for the properties and gave him the go ahead to perform the work. After a few weeks, I emailed to check on progress. No response. I called Mr. Browning and was told he hadn't done the work and would get to the survey work quickly. Nothing. Finally, delay after delay he sent a crew to one of the properties to stake the boundary. It was completely wrong. Even with this they asked that I pay the invoice prior to getting the work done. I did not pay it. I was told the second property had already been done. It had not. After rescheduling the work several times - the second property was surveyed eventually and by 11/7/13 I received the CAD file. The other property has not been surveyed and I have fired this company from doing any further work.

Very nice and personable. I was told I would receive a call the day before they came out and they would be out by May 1st at the latest.
May 1st came and went with no phone call or survey performed. I left two phone message with ARE. I got a call after hours on May 1st and was told they were behind and busy. I was asked if it was acceptable for them to come out May 2nd. I said yes. I was advised they would be at my house by a particular time. They had a job they had to finish in the morning. I was I would get a c all if they were running late. They were late and I did not get a phone call.

Eric has gone out of his way to assist me in my attempts to get a fence built on my property. The HOA Board is trying to claim I can't build a fence because my property line abuts a pond - as an aside, how ridiculous is that??? Someday a young child is going to drown in a retention pond because there is no fence, and the HOA and developer are going to be sued 5 ways from Sunday...
Eric OFFERED to write a letter certifying that no portion of my land touches the shore of the pond. He followed through within a few days with a hardcopy letter to me and my attorney. He has truly gone out of his way to assist me, and I'm incredibly grateful.

Overall, the work went very well. The reason that I requested the work was that when one of our residents had a and quot;Staked Surveyand quot; done for their property, which borders our community boundaries, the results did not match our understanding of the community boundaries. The new survey confirmed that our our understanding was correct. ARE was able to contact the survey company our resident had used and, between the two of them, provide a rational explanation for the discrepancy.

Very professional. They worked with me on a drawing issue and provided a prompt revision. I would use then and recommend them to friends I the future.

I called and they provided an estimate for the cost. They told me the survey would be complete within 10 days. It was, and the cost was exactly as they estimated.

I found this company here on Angie's List and made the decision to use them based on reviews of other members. I thought this was a good decision in the beginning.

I contacted the company on June 15 or so to perform a detailed site survey of my property with the intent that I needed a detailed plot plan for my HOA. I spoke with Ron and was confortable with the decision for the survey itself to be performed on the 29th. I was told I would receive a pdf file within a couple days of the survey with the written documents following shortly after. I paid for the survey using my credit card on 6/24 through Amanda so everything was taken care of.

June 29th the survey was completed with no hitches. I was told again that I would receive the pdf file withint a couple days.

I contacted the company again 2 weeks later around July 13th or so to check the status of my reports as I hadn't received anything yet. I was advised that they were extremely busy and hadn't gotten to my reports yet and that they should have them done by the end of the week.

I contacted them back again and spoke to Ron on July 19, and told that they guy who does the drawing is working on them now and I should have the pdf file by the next day in the afternoon.

July 20 no file delivered and no contact from the company

July 21 I've had enough and filed this review for other Anglie's List members

I understand a company getting busy and needing time to complete work. A phone call or some sort of communication would have been greatly appreciated to let me know what was the hold-up on my job. I can only tell anybody who is reading about my experience. I feel this company put other bigger jobs in front of my job to complete without completing work that has already been paid for. For me this is a huge slap in the face as a customer because to this day I still haven't gotten what I paid for from this company and everytime I call I'm given the run around as about why I've not gotten what I paid for. I guess my little job isn't as important as the big jobs to this company.

I called ARE Survey and Amanda answered the phone and spent 20 minutes answering all my questions; explaining to me my options; providing a variety asnwers to my numerous questions and was able to provide a rough estimate as to the cost of the services. My project was given to Land Surveyor Eric Bowning. He called me before ever coming out and telling me that in reviewing aerial photographs that there may be an issue with my property. He explained that the county recorder had a record of my property and the entire subdivision and it had all properties off by 20 feet. He asked questions to understand what was the purpose of the survey. He scheduled an appointment and the survey ended up taking 1 1/2 days due to improper monument markers throughout the entire subdivision. I asked them to provide me a drawing of my house on the property and ARE Survey provided a 18" x 24" extremely detailed drawing. ARE Surveying went beyond the call of duty; they exceeded my expectations and I was shocked that the price was not 2 - 3 times more expensive since the project hit a snag. I strongly recommend ARE Surveying to anyone unsure of hiring a land survey company.

Great company to work with. The were honest that with the weather it would take 2-3 weeks to get it all done. From the time I called and scheduled the work until plans in hand, just about 3 weeks. We were not in a hurry. Their pricing was amazing. I would (and have) recommend them. Nice guys and they didn't mind me asking them questions or being silly and asking them if they could fudge the property line a little. Eric was a little longer getting me the final paperwork than he had thought but he called to tell me he had fallen behind. As long as they communicate I am understanding about delays.

Obtained the compnay's name from Angie's List; made a call; received an estimate for services requested and an approximate date for the service. ARE had an equipment failure necessary for the elevation survey and called me to postpone the survey one week which was OK with me. They arrived as forecast and competently completed the work in a timely and professional manner.

It was great working with the company. The price was reasonable compared to the competition. They peformed the services in a timely manner. They were also pleasant to deal with. I would recommend this company.

They did an excellent job. They were very nice and accommadating. I had to wait about 7 days because they were so busy, but they explained everything over the phone. They were thorough.

They did a great job. They let me know when the work could be done and was able to complete it early. Their quote was less than 3 other companies that I talked with and they then charged me even less when the job was done as it did not take as long as they originally thought. The only small issue is that I had to call them to get updates as to my requests (instead of them being proactive and calling me when they had acquired the needed info.)

They were great and enthusiastic, and had a good sense of humor. I think I used Mr. Browning to do the job, although I am not sure. I live in a very old sub-division and my house was built in 1911. They actually had to go down to the railroad tracks and stand on the railroad tracks to get the right readings and conduct a complete survey. I told them my time parameters and they were perfectly fine with that. They came out twice actually. They put two markers in the front, and two in the back, as well as permanent markers that would show even if grass were to grow over them. They put up flags along where the fence was going to be so that the fencer would have a good idea where he had to put up the fence. They gave me a preliminary survey and a final survey with explanation. They explained to me why the survey amount was higher than the others?, and from that interaction I knew that they knew what they were doing, and had made up my mind to hire them. They are musicians moreover, and they play Renaissance music in their spare time. I found that to be wonderful - that?s a dimension I would never have expected.
