This is a small heating and cooling shop. The only two employees are my wife and myself. So your always dealing with the owner. I do all our field service, all equipment bids, as well as all the installing of the equipment. So it's alway done the way it should bhe done, and by some body with 19 years of field service.

The AC tuneup was great. I didn't have to schedule super-far in advance and Mr. Belcher showed up on time and ready. He was happy to explain each of his measurements. It was a bit chilly on the day he visited, so he called us when things warmed up so he could get an accurate reading on the pressure of our refrigerant. Because our refrigerant was being phased out, replacing the cooling unit seemed a logical choice. Mr. Belcher was able to give me an estimate on the spot, allowing us some time to research the units he described and inquire about thermostats and other features we could add. We didn't feel pressured by Mr. Belcher to come to this decision. He was able to schedule us a couple of weeks later for the replacement. Because there was hot weather in the meantime, he came by with some extra refrigerant for our existing system to keep us comfortable and prevent damage to our existing AC unit (no additional charge!). When installation day arrived, he spent the whole day installing the unit, reworking some piping which had been leaking on our system since we moved in, etc. He was on time, on task and installed everything so it looked tidy and functioned well. He accidentally cut the dryer vent during the install and replaced that section free of charge. He also let me know that I should really get the dryer vent cleaned based on what he saw in there (I REALLY appreciated that help). Mr. Belcher was friendly, personable, helpful in explaining things at every step and practical. I look forward to having him back for our heater tune-up.

Ron did a complete system install, new furnace and A/C. From day 1 the a/c didn't work right. If it was hotter than 80 degrees or so outside, it wouldn't work. The A/C ran 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the summer but wouldn't cool my house more than a few degrees. Ron was never able to fix the problem after multiple visits but he had no problem charging me. Finally, the compressor gave out. Im guessing from running non stop for months at a time. Ron comes out, replaces the compressor, charges me almost $1000 and it still doesn't work right. By now I've had enough and knew Ron was never going to fix the problem. I called two other companies and both told me the same thing, a part was freezing when it was hot out and that's why it wouldn't cool the house. They said it was probably like this since the system was installed and that's why it never worked right. They also told me some of the work Ron did was against code and some of the other work he did was so sloppy it was questionable if it would pass a home inspection. I had to pay another company to fix the original problem and to redo some of Ron's work just to get the house up to code. I now have spent more in repairs than I paid for the brand new system. Im considering filing a complaint with American Standard and may speak with an attorney.

"This System was installed in July 2007. It is a heat pump gas furnace (duel fuel) set up. The cost was $4200.00 and part of the job was to do some duct work . Adding two heat runs to the garage that he said he doesn't us as a garage. It was being used for a dog kennel. Only supply runs was installed there no returns. I did explain to him if it was going to be a garage it should not be done. He ask me to do it for his dogs, So I did. I did go back later that year and replaced his thermostat at his request. The next record we have as going to his house is May 2013. At that time his compressor was grounded and was replaced under warranty. I did charge for my labor,6.50 lbs of R-22 ,added a liquid line drier, a suction line drier. I changed the two heat runs in the living room from 6" to 8" . The total cost of the work was $736.00 That is the last we have heard from him. If he still had any problems with the system he just needed to call. We would have went back out. As a American Standard dealer I could have called for their field service representative if needed. If we don't hear back we think the customer is happy and all is working well. At the time of the compressor failed the outdoor coil was very dirty and and not been cleaned from the date of install according to our records. We could have revoked the compressor warranty because of this, but we didn't. We have been in business for Seven years and six months, I have been working in the HVAC trade for twenty three years. I have yet to this date had one code violation. If I did some thing against code , I would have been glad to correct it. He arrived a bit early and walked straight to the out side unit, removed a cover, and pointed out a capacitor that was expanded out of shape. He said he probably had one in the truck; he did, and he promptly changed out the part, all the while he was conversing with me in a very friendly and professional manner. He said they took cash, check, or credit card. I wrote him a check and he was on his way. I was quite pleased to have someone who obviously knew what he was doing and was efficient and professional in every way. I highly recommend this craftsman to everyone.

Belcher Heating and Cooling LLC was excellent. I would recommend them to anyone. The price was good and they were very punctual and they were very thorough. It was a new air conditioner and new service. They were very knowledgeable.

It went well! He is always on time or early. He is a very nice, personable, friendly person. It was one of the 90 degree days. I have referred him to many friends, and have used him for years. I would recommend him to others and use him again in the future.

Excellent experience. I spoke with the owner's wife to schedule an appointment. She was very friendly and was able to schedule an appointment on my day off between noon and 1 p.m. The day of appointment I received a call saying that Ron was on a large job and that it would be closer to 1 p.m. than noon. Ron arrived right on time. He was very thorough cleaning and checking our furnace and was very professional. I will definitely use Belcher Heating and Air for all my heating and air needs.

On 9/6/12 Ron showed up on time to check my A/C unit since it was not cooling. He found the evaporator coil was leaking refrigerant and needed to be replaced. He added some refrigerant to keep us cool until he could come back out one week later to replace the part. Ron came back the following Thursday to replace the bad evaporator coil and installed 6 lbs. of refrigerant. We only had the opportunity to run the A/C twice since the work has been done since temperature has cooled down; everything seems to be working properly. Overall, we are happy with the service that was provided and will monitor the system in the next cooling season.

We had a noise coming from our furnace and called Ron to take a look at it. He lubricated the part and made sure everything else looked good on our furnace before leaving. When I asked him how much he told me not to worry about it. I thought I was going to have to fight him to take payment!

We would've had to buy a new unit for $500 dollars, but he had a used one in his truck and gave it to us. He was quick with his work and punctual. I would hire him again.
