WINDOW ONE

It went very well. They replaced a 2 casement window and a 3 casement window. They did an excellent job and were timely. They were on track with the cost they gave me. I am so pleased I have hired them to do 2 more.

At the beginning, this contractor ignored (after agreeing) our requests to lay down tarps on carpeted areas. As a result, our carpeting was so soiled that we decided we would have to replace it. All 5 of our patio doors were installed improperly resulting in significant air infiltration during the winter. One of our patio doors even had water infiltration during periods of rain. This contractor took several weeks to reinspect, then blamed the problem on Andersen manufacturing. I had to contact Andersen directly to get a response even though this contractor (Martin Spohn) is a dealer for them. Although it was his responsibility to contact the manufacturer (as a dealer), he left the follow up to us... he had been paid in full and had very little motivation in addressing our concerns. It was only after repeated pressure from Andersen Corporation that he agreed to reinstall our patio doors. Even after reinstalling, this contractor refused to finish the interior trim that we had paid for and left holes in our walls. The Andersen representative had to find another contractor to complete the job for us. Andersen Corporation representatives have expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the way this contractor has performed on our job.

We hunted and hunted for a window company that not only sold good quality windows, but were good on installation. I would recommend them to anyone. They made sure everything was done right.

THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THE SALESMAN SAID THE JOB WOULD TAKE 4-6 HRS. IT TOOK TWO DAYS, TEN HOURS EACH. THE BACK DOOR WAS POORLY INSTALLED. THE LOCKS ON BOTH DOORS WERE POORLY INSTALLED. MR. DEGAN IS VERY GOOD AT BLAMING OTHERS FOR HIS POOR WORK, NEVER ONCE ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS POOR WORKMANSHIP. I GAVE HIM THE OPPORTUNITY TO CORRECT THE PROBLEMS, HE ALWAYS BLAMED SOMEONE ELSE, EVEN THE MANUFACTURER OF THE DOORS. I CALLED THERMA TRU WHILE MR. DEEGAN WAS AT MY HOUSE, BECAUSE HE SAID THE PROBLEM WAS THE DOORS. THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEND SOMEONE OUT TO EVALUATE THE PROBLEM, BUT MR.DEGAN NEEDED TO MAKE THE REQUEST. HE DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH AND THERMA TRU NEVER CONTACTED ME. I EVENTUALLY HIRED ANOTHER CONTRACTOR TO TRY TO CORRECT THE PROBLEMS. I AM PERSONALLY IN THE PROCESS OF COMPLETING THE FINISHING DETAILS OF CAULKING AND REPAIRING CERAMIC FLOOR. I WILL NOT LET THIS MAN IN MY HOUSE AGAIN, I DON'T WISH TO HAVE FURTHER CONTACT WITH HIM. I ONLY WANT TO WARN OTHERS.

OVERALL A GOOD COMPANY. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN. VERY HELPFUL IN SELECTION OF PRODUCT. GOOD SHOWROOM WITH A LOT ON DISPLAY. PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION.
