Hired him to do repair work on a historic home. We had many talks of how I'd like to preserve the historical features. Eric ripped out the doors and fireplace without consulting me. No text. No call. He only texts me to ask when his check is in. That's it. Avoid at all costs. About my fireplace, he said, "nobody wants that piece of s**t."

The basement had exterior wall framing completed but needed to have all the interior walls placed and then build. We did not have a timeline defined for them so there were no expectations on a finish date. They were very quick to go to work and complete the project. As in building a house some parts are much faster than others. We were very pleased with the people that work on the project. They were very good about not tracking in the house. We are very happy with the end results. As we went along on the project we were able to make changes and Eric was always good about asking us our thoughts as to how we wanted it to look. Even when we thought we wanted the bar one way after seeing it we decided to change. That was not an issue. Eric suggested ways to finish the basement that we would not have thought about and gave us a much bigger bedroom/ craft room. We started with approx. 1700 sq ft of unfinished basement and ended up with so much room and space to enjoy with our family.

Respectable Restoration did an excellent job, and I plan to hire them when I need work done in the future. Eric was helpful, patiently and straightforwardly explaining his plan for completing the work. He took numerous pictures of my roof, so I could see the problems for myself without climbing a ladder.  His quote was not the cheapest, but he did knock $300 off his original bid reducing the difference between his quote and the next cheapest by more than half.
He started the work promptly, a little more than a week from when I gave him the go-ahead. His workers were courteous and efficient. One thing I particularly appreciated was the extensive work he did restoring my lawn. His quote did NOT specify lawn repair after the damage from trenching, but he did it anyway. I've had plumbers dig up my lawn and leave a horrible mess for me to clean up, so I was particularly appreciative of all his work regrading and reseeding. Similarly, they did far more work on the roof than was quoted but didn't charge me anything extra. They also connected one downspout to the drainage system and ran leafguard on a section of gutter that was not included in the original quote, also at no extra charge. In fact, I was so pleased with all the extra work Eric did that I paid him $3400 on a $3300 contract, even though he didn't request any extra money. Respectable Restoration is an outstanding company--I can't recommend them highly enough.

The Job was done in one day and the roof looked great the clean up was good. We were extremely pleased until 2 months later a section of the roof was blown off. They said at first it was not under contract warranty due to high winds then later they said they would make it right but never did show up to do the job so we borrowed a ladder bought our own shingles and fixed the roof ourselves.

"I would like to start off by thanking you for being a great customer to begin with. Respectable Restoration performed all of the repairs specified by your insurance company on the first insurance claim. all work was performed to industrial standards and you were very satisfied. Then your neighborhood was faced by 74 mile per hour winds which exceeded the shingle wind warranty and our contract warranty for the shingles. This is when you filed a second insurance claim and the insurance company paid to replace the entire back half of your roof. You as the customer chose to not use the insurance company funds diligently and only paid for a small 2 square repair out of 11 square on the back of your house. You were informed that the entire back slope of the roof needed to be replaced. Respectable Restoration informed you that you should replace your entire back slope of the roof as specified by your insurance company. You stated that the roof was only 1 year old at this time and all of the remaining shingles were fine. Respectable Restoration made the 2 sq. Of shingle repairs for $450. Your insurance paid you over $2200.00 This was in the winter and the shingles didnt have time to seal on the repaired area as we had to use a secondary adhesive because you didnt want to replace the entire back slope of the roof. Then 3 months later another patch of your roof was blown off on the back of the roof in the area that was already affected by high winds and damaged and your insurance paid you to repair. Not the same 2sq area we patched but a different area. We completed the repair you requested. This customer called my office and I told them you would have to pay to repair the other damaged area. We did come back out and look at the area to confirm the location quantity and cause of damage. This customer called and demanded we come fix the area that the insurance paid them for for free Which is Insurance fraud. When you called us and we told you it would cost a minimum repair fee of $250 you said no you would not pay for it and you would do it your self. I will be uploading copies of our email transcripts and the contracts you sign to show my loyal honest customers what you are putting on our Angie's List is slander of my company name. I will be contacting my business attorney."

Some of the products that were uses were poor quality, they did restoration that I didn't get consulted about. I felt like they worked more with the INS company then me. The painters were sloppy, my wood trim is crooked. The owners would set up meetings and then not showed up. They were disrespectful to our property they put it all out in our lawn unattended. I think I was treated differently because I am female home owner I am very dissatisfied with the service and I would not recommend them.

"I would like to start off by saying I don't understand where this post is coming from when the last day of the job you were thinking me in buying myself and my employees pizza for our hard work and dedication to getting you back in your home by Thanksgiving which we did do. respectable restoration did work directly with your insurance company in replacing your home back to its original condition respectable restoration went above and beyond what the insurance company paid for as I explained to you many times. this was not a company taking advantage of a woman as I dealt with you very little as your brother in law [Member's name removed] with me to relieve most of the stress off of you as you had recently had a tragedy in your life involving your husband. [name removed] introduced me to you because I did all of the work on his home therefore he had a prior experience with me and knew the quality of work to expect. if anyone has done a major repair or remodel on a home in the range of $150,000 they would know that if we missed something like a piece of trim that may be crooked then you could call me and I would come back out and correct that piece of trim willingly as you have a warranty on this job. depart that I don't understand is why I have a complaint showing up now over a year after all the work was completed I can only assume this is due to a conversation we had just a month ago about your hot tub not workingand it needed some repairs. I told you at that time when I did all of the other repairs it being winter time the hot tub in the pool we're both closed we could not test a pool pump heater or any hot tub equipment unless it was full of water and we could run a diagnostics test on it you agreed and said you would rather your normal pool guy take care of this part of the insurance claim I agreed and deducted those charges out of my bill when you called me I explained all of this and told you just to call your insurance company and talk to your pool guy and they would get this taken care of for you no problem. I think that the only complaint I seen in this was the fact that there was a crooked piece of trim and the fact that I did not discuss a lot of this claim directly with you which could leave you feeling left out and I apologize for that but it was at the request of your own family members to take the stress off of you as you were already dealing with enough trial and tribulation in your life at the time due to a tragedy with your husband I would like to take this time to apologize to you personally for not communicating directly with you the homeowner and making sure everything was what you wanted or needed in this project. again if any of this would have been brought to my attention when the job was completed and you were thinking me and buying me and my employees pizza I would have gladly taken care of any of these issues at that time."

We cannot say enough good things about this business. Everything went completely smoothly, and both the quality and level of service were the best we've ever experienced. There were no problems or glitches. No detail was overlooked, and the few small items that needed attention as the project was finished were minor. In addition, Eric knows applicable state laws, unlike the claims adjuster, and knew how to get the bureaucratic paperwork efficiently processed for the mortgage and insurance companies with a minimum of hassle on our part. (We wish we could say the same about our mortgage company!)
All in all, this is a remarkable company.

At first encounter the owner was very responsive and assured us of quality and timely repairs.  We were out of our home for approximately 2months.  Early on in the restoration it was clear that the contractor worked mainly with the adjustor to the point of leaving the homeowner uninformed.  Throughout the restoration we  noticed that the contractor cut corners to benefit savings for himself.  When confronted about issues, he became very evasive and defensive.  He also was caught in several lies.  Property was treated very disrespectfully, including removing property out of a secure area and leaving unattended.  Cheap paint was used and now we are dealing with the effects of poor quality paint.  Fixtures were selected, purchased an installed without first consulting homeowner.  Appointments were made with him and he never showed up at the house.  I would not recommend this business.
Response from Respectable Restoration LLC.
"This customer had a a lightning strike which caused extensive damage to the interior of the home. 2 months out of the home is minimal with the amount of extensive damage and the fact that the entire home had to be rewired. Yes, we do work directly with the insurance company to repair the home back to its original condition prior to loss, which is all the insurance owes for. We refused to eat the cost of upgrades that would've cost thousands of dollars that the homeowner refused to pay for themselves. They expected their home to be upgraded because of their inconvenience on the insurance company and/or contractor's dime. In regards to the paint, Porter Paint, a well known and respected brand, was used at the request of the homeowner. We allowed the homeowner to change all of the wall paint colors in the home which required us to paint multiple coats in order to properly cover previous colors (insurance only paid for one coat). As for the items left unattended, she is referring to items that had to be removed from the garage in order to paint (which the insurance did not cover). These items were moved to the driveway while painting occurred and then replaced, never left unattended. Anyone with questions in regards to this review, we have hundreds of before and after photos of this home to show the quality of our workmanship as well as hundreds of other satisfied customers. As we all know, there are some customers you simply can't please Even though as we were doing final touch ups, she thanked us graciously and offered to buy us pizza as a token of her appreciation for all of our hard work. Respectable Restoration has not received any complaints from this customer directly regarding this matter."

We had some deteriorated siding that needed replaced, as well as wooden surfaces of the roof dormers that needed repaired and repainted. The contractor was prompt, professional, and quick to get things handled - at a very fair price.

Excellent experience. This was an insurance claim from hail damage and they were with us all the way, helping with the claim, meeting with adjuster and agent. Their crew was polite, neat, respectful and cleaned up the work site everyday before leaving. They were very prompt and communicated any delays or issues (of which there were only a couple that were out of their control).

Eric Harvey was one of several contractors we interviewed for hail repairs to our two story home.   If there was a problem, like the ridge vent on the porch roof  that wasn't installed, he had called his crew immediately.  He was hear within an hour to confirm it was fixed.  Even when one of the shingles blew off while installing and scratched my car, he offered to have it repaired.  I chose not to because it's a 13 year old car and the last thing I'm worried about was the paint.  Great guy.  He was not the cheapest, but he also did not try to nickle and dime my insurance company for every little bit of damage.  One contractor wanted to completely replace my fence when I could only see a couple of minor "dents" in the wooden slats.  They're supposed to look rustic, that was part of the HOA!  He's not perfect, but did explain any reason he was late or the work was delayed, all to my great satisfaction.  He also took the time to explain to us how to file for reimbursement of any owner repairs we did and gave us an example copy to work with!  He has finished the roof and the valleys and vents look like perfect installations.  The gutters went up in a day and were a perfect match to the exterior color.  The siding is still in progress.  It looks like some of the severe weather this year has cleaned out the siding warehouses.

We had never had an insurance claim of this magnitude on our home before. Respectable helped us through every step of the process, worked with our insurance company and restored our home back to as good as new. Their crews were hard working even 100 degree temps, cleaned up the work site very thoroughly and were very polite. The quality of products met and exceeded our expectations, and their workmanship is also guaranteed. Would recommend them to anyone.
