Disappearing contractor! We recently bought a home, and this contractor was hired by the sellers and their realtor to do a number of fixes associated with the home inspection. Rob Johnston came out and gave a competitive but not great quote. Since he agreed to be GC and do everything, we accepted. The only problem is that after that he vanished. Multiple calls to all of his listed numbers were not returned. I spoke to someone at his office and left a message that was not returned. Email was not replied to either.
I understand that summer is a busy season for renovations, but it is incredibly unprofessional to agree to perform services and then disappear. This company claims to have been in business since 1976, but frankly I'm shocked they have lasted this long.
Avoid them at all costs if you ever want a renovation completed.
