OAK CREATIONS

We have been buying from Otto for several years. He helped us design a TV consule to match existing surround towers. He also gave several suggestions for a twin size Mission style bed that required a very low foot board. This is not a quick process and expect any custom piece to take a few months to be made. We are very pleaded with the quality of the 6 pieces of furniture that we have purchased. Prices were reasonable for the custom work.

Owner is argumentative, rude, and unresponsive to customer issues re: the quality of the furniture. 1. "Amish"' made hutch had been nailed using a pneumatic (compressed air) nailer...a tool which the Amish do not use. 2. Nail holes were filled ON THE FACE of the piece with filler colored 3-4 shades off the stain. 3. Filler was visible 10 feet from piece (and were on the front). 4. Owner's response to complaint: Claim that no one can do better, as filler will not take stain. He is correct....BUT PROFESSIONAL furniture uses filler pre-tinted to the finished to be applied. Failing to do so is very shoddy. 5. Claimed customer was "just being picky". 6. Told me he did not want my business. 7. "Barred" me from buying furniture or visiting there again (not that I would). 8. When I responded with comments about quality, owner stated that HE decided what quality was acceptable, not the customer. This owner was rude and argumentative, no concern about customer satisfaction.

A very positive experience. He asked all the appropriate questions in order to make sure the unit was the correct size, and that it would fit through the various doorways and stairways at delivery. The furniture is high quality and exactly as ordered.
