Was supposed to replace a couple shingles that blew off in a spring storm. And I also talked to him directly about checking over the ENTIRE roof to be sure there was nothing else wrong. BOY THAT WAS A MISTAKE. 4 days later, 10 shingles blew off my roof, and the wind was less then 50 mph. I have been trying to contact him ever since to get the issue resolved. I have called and left 6 voicemail in the last 2 months and I have emailed him as well. NO RESPONSE AT ALL.
I have since called out Bone Dry Roofing and they have found even more stuff Kaldahl has missed. Apparently Bone Dry found at least 15 shingles that are not sealed down or have flapped back at one point and set back down (they took pictures to show me). They are still cracked and needing replaced, but Kaldahl apparently is too lazy to complete his work or return a phone call.
I have never been treated so poorly as I have been by this guy Brian. I wanted to leave this review as a warning to all who are thinking of using his services. I have had really poor service before, but at least they call back after a half dozen attempts to contact them.
So overall, POOR SERVICE AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I guess he got paid and that is all he cares about.

We have used Kaldahl Home Improvements a lot for roofing on our old house. We are very impressed with them. They replaced four skylights and a whole section of roofing on the house. They had to special order the skylights. I had no problem with the worker going to my house and doing the work. I trust them. They did the work right. I would highly recommend this company.

Brian came out to our house and met with my husband and I. We needed an estimate for damages from the April Hail Storm. He was polite, professional , knowledgeable and honest when informing us of the estimate of damages. We did not realize how much damage Hail can do! He will be replacing our roof, siding and gutters. He knows his business and we feel confident that he will do a Great Job for us. He is prompt to returning calls & emails. He really cares about your house and how it will look when the work is completed. My husband & I are looking forward to working with him for a long time. We have other projects that we are thinking about doing and Brian is our Contractor. We recommend Brian to do all your Home Improvements.

It took a little while to get going on the work due to rainy weather earlier this spring, but his employees were very courteous, worked quickly, and did an excellent job. They also did a really great job with the siding and gutters, and my house looks so much nicer than it used to.

He did the work, then the roof leaked more than ever. He came out a second time doing a very minor fix, only because he wanted the balance of the payment. It still leaks and now he will not return phone calls from us since he has been paid.

"Member had a new roof put on 2 years ago by a different contractor and called us because that roof leaked very badly. We came out in August of 2012 and replaced a part of her roof that was installed incorrectly. She could only pay about half of the amount she agreed to at that time. She called in January stating the roof was leaking again. We agreed to come out and inspect the problem, and asked if she could pay her final amount that was 120 days past due. This leak was from a different area of the roof, but we still fixed it at NO CHARGE, and she finally paid her final amount. After some recent heavy rain I emailed her to see if it had leaked any more and she said no. I would advise contractor's to be cautious when dealing with this home owner and I am disappointed I can't rate home owners on Angie's List."

Overall the did fine work. The workers very nice and cleaned up after the work. They came back and inspected the work after it was finished to make she everything was done correctly.

He arrived in the morning and spent most of the day on the original project. Didn't leave till is was completed. When he came back to do the next area, he also got it completed quickly. Brian is very nice, polite and professional. We have used him in the past for other leaks. His repairs seem to last and the quality is top notch. I would highly recommend him. His price was not the cheapest, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

It is a family business and they all do something, but I had Brian out here and he was out in 2 days. The home inspection found a hole and he was out in two days to fix it. I liked his responsiveness, his price, and his warranty. I haven't priced it, so I don't know if the price was too high, but it was just more than I thought and I might have paid more to somebody else. I would give him an A across the board and I can't say anything bad about him. I just liked him, so I told him that I trusted him to do it. I would definitely use him again.

After a large section of shingles was torn off my roof by wind, I had a new roof installed by Kaldahl roofing. The whole process of choosing the shingles, scheduling the job and coordinating with my insurance company was made easy by the office employees who helped at every step of the way. Watching the crew work was like watching a well-tuned orchestra. Everything was done in an orderly process. All the old shingles, tar paper, and roofing nails were discarded neatly into a large rubbish bin. The new tar paper and shingles were expertly laid and new roof vents installed. Three years later, my roof is in perfect condition and I am still bragging about it.

Brian worked on our 7 skylights last Fall. Six of them had active problems. He made multiple trips then to get them all to stop leaking. He even did research to find a solution to our problem. The ice storm this winter caused one skylight to become dislodged, again. He came out and inspected the damage and was going to include the repair in his warranty. Because we felt it was not a warranty issue, we insisted he give us a price to fix the storm damaged skylight. Our skylight is dry once again. Brian even called the following morning to check to see if we stayed dry during the violent storm during the night. I was reluctantly ready to throw in the towel and remove the skylights from that area of the roof. Brian felt he could salvage the skylight, and he did. We will gladly call Brian for any roofing solution in the future.

After some terrific rainstorms, I have no leaks. I have had others try and fix the leaks including new shingles, ice and water shields, and roof and window caulking, but the leaks continued intermittently and seemingly at random. After Brian Kaldahl completed the contracted initial work, a torrential rain showed up a few leaks. Brian quickly returned with an inspired leak concept innate to the engineering design of the skylight itself. He spent many hours adding an additional sealing fix without complaint or additional charge over the original contract which arguably did not include the additional fix. I was impressed by the ownership and resourcefulness of Brian as well as the workmanship and results.

They took over a month to do the job, we had to call them numerous times to come back out and do it properly. To this day we are still calling them as the rear gutters are still not draining. We are getting no response. I would like to have then do the job we hired them to do. I would not recommend this company at all. If I do not hear from them in a few days I guess I will start proceedings to sue them.

Roofing crew made a huge mess. They did not clean up very well. They ruined several plants and flowers and knocked down my tomato plants with their air hoses. They killed the grass in my yard when they cleaned their tools. The owner had to come back out to clean up nails left between the roof and the gutter. They removed part of a downspout and did not replace it.

This was the first time I have used their services. They did pretty good. It did not take them very long. They were here about three days. They were upfront on the cost and it was reasonable. They seemed to have done a real good job.

Great. Could not have been better. One day the dumpster and materials were delivered, at the end of the next day it was complete. Clean up was immaculate. They spent a lot of time working with us on the type and color of shingles. I will use them again.

From the time of estimate to final installation, my point of contact, Amy, kept me informed of everything going on. The estimate was handled very professionally with all of the dollar amounts and the roof qualities laid out for the layman to read. Once the contract was agreed upon, they kept in constant contact with me and let me know of every move they made. The ultimate roof installation is exactly what I wanted. We had a minor follow up visit and I was totally pleased with an experience I dreaded. Horror stories of roofing companies out there kept me from having this done sooner. I was very impressed with this company and recommend them wholeheartedly!

I had an intermittent leak in my roof. This company came out in frigid weather when no else seemed to want the job. Their representative was very personable and efficient. I would use them again for small repairs.

Brian Kaldahl subs everything out to foreigners who barely speak English. They tore off the roof on my house, but left some of the black roof felt paper and were not even seeing the damaged decking due to hail. THEN IT POURED DOWN RAINED. Instead of stopping work and tarping the house immediately, they stupidly kept working. It rained heavily into my attic and ran through the plaster ceilings into the house. Damage to carpets, attic, plaster ceilings, very important paperwork stored in attic, just an all around 3 ring circus. I called upset at this point and the owner Brian Kaldahl begrudging showed up and ran a small shop vac, set a fan in the attic and disappeared. I ended up instructing their crews what to do as no management on site for most of job. Metal flashing work by the next crew was substandard quality, left a mess, still getting bids to repair that. An overall rotten experience, lost time from work and still trying to get bids to repairs damages they left behind. BEWARE! BE
