They guy gave it a tuneup in spite of telling him that it had 1 a couple months ago. When he started packing his tools up, I reminded him about the door not making a seal at the bottom. So he opened and closed the door 2-3 times and showed it lowered all the way. A few days later I noticed that it wasn’t going down all the way. When I finally had time to call, I was within a reasonable 30day window to contact them. They absolutely refused to correct the issue. The owner was extremely gruff on the phone and it quickly became obvious that he was not going to back up the service I paid for when I called the first time they came out.

Unexpected, but it went great! Let me explain: I had called the company to ask a question about the opener they were offering the special deal on. I had just been to the Home Show & gotten 2 higher quotes for the Liftmaster opener, but I wanted to make sure I was comparing apples to apples. They told me they had an opening for a certain day & time and I said I hadn't gotten the deal yet. Then I went back to Angie's List to get the deal but things had changed apparently since the last time I bought a deal & I couldn't figure out how to do it online. Before I got around to calling Angie's list, there was a knock on the door, he was here and, about an hour later, I had a new whisper quiet garage door opener that opened & closed when we told it to (our old one had developed issues)! My husband was a little testy with me at first because he wasn't expecting it, but I said "Happy Valentine's Day" and he tried it and fell in love - with the opener! LOL It's been a month, and we're still in awe of how quiet it is. Very professional installation and I love a man that cleans up after himself!

Went as expected. Provider notified me about adjustments he made, missing nuts and bolts he replaced, all parts he lubricated, etc.

Highly recommended! They replaced two springs for the cost of what I had one replaced for by a different company on a different house.

Marc was great!  He was extremely nice and professional - very responsive and on-time.  He fixed the garage door spring quickly and was very courteous the entire time.  The best part was he came out the morning after I called his company - no long wait time for the company's service (which was great because I was having a house full of family and friends for a graduation party 2 days after he fixed the door).
Will definitely use 1st Choice Doors in the future and highly recommend them!

After contacting Marc, Curt came out the next day. He was very informative and professional. I received several discounts; my contact with this company was a referral. The installer was a top rate professional. He worked alone, and the work was completed within four hours. From my first contact with Marc until the door was installed, the timing was four days! There was no surprise when the bill was presented upon installation. The amount Curt had presented me with, in writing, was the amount I paid. Curt told me the tax and installation cost were included which they were. I will use this company again and would highly recommend them.

He came out right away..the spring was broken..took only about a half an hour..very courteous and professional. would definately use them again.

Arrived on time and did the work laid out above. Two weeks later, a portion of the work failed, so I called to get it repaired. A repairman arrived the next day and instead of trying to fix the door the same way, he took extra precautions by drilling through the metal hinge to make new holes. By doing it this way he did not have to put bolts completely through the door, which I appreciated. There was no charge for this second trip.

I called Randy on a Thursday because the garage door opener was straining but not moving the door. I had to manually disconnect the door from the opener and manually open and close the door. Randy advised that it was likely a gear and quoted a repair//service call of $125 (total). He was quite willing to provide just this service, but when he asked me the age (20 years old) and brand, he gently suggested (but definitely did not push!) that we might want to consider replacing it. I agreed to have it replaced. His company arrived promptly at our agreed upon window the next day and they replaced the garage door opener and removed all of the old equipment. He left the garage nicely cleaned up. I thought his price was quite reasonable, as another vendor is currently running a "special" right now for $275, which is $25 more than Randy charged.

The technician was professional and the sales manager Curt was also professional and both were courteous. The price was outstanding for the door we purchased. Also, we received a discount since we met Curt at the Indpls Home Show. I would recommend them to anyone and I would use them again.

They were able to come out quickly to repair my broken garage door. They arrived when they said that they would and got the problem fixed quickly. They were very courteous and professional.
I have not had any issues since but will call them back if I do.

Marc was able to come out the next day to fix my garage door that would not open. He was able to fix the bad install another garage door company did the year prior. I have told everyone about the great work and I know he has done work for most of my neighbors.

Still works flawlessly even though the door needs to be replaced. I will hire these guys to do the door when I can. I have no no problem recommending them. The install was done quickly and correctly.

Perfect. The installer Ian called me about 30 mins before the appointment time, asked if he could arrive 10 mins early. He was right on time, very professional and knew his job. He did a wonderful job installing all new railing etc. Every thing was new. the door was very well insulated, much better than the door I had seen at the home improvement store. It took Ian about 2 1/2 hours, just as marc had told me. Ian cleaned up every scrap and took away all the old parts. I love my new door. I will strongly recommend 1st Choice to anyone who needs any Garage Door service. I could not have asked for a better experience. ( I took my reciept back to Menards and got my money back)n
