I would not use him again and I am going to sue him. He did the work very, very, very, very poorly.

We hired this company because it had done previous work for us.  We were pleased with the work of the person doing the majority of the work on building us a front porch the year before.  We signed a contract with the owner with the specific instructions that the only reason we would use his company was if a certain partner/worker would do the work.  Trevor assured us this would be done.  About half-way through Phase 1, before the project could be completed he and our choice of worker had a falling out and our worker was fired.

Trevor assured us he could do the job better.  When he showed up for work he was usually slow in getting to work.  While his "helper" worked, he was usually on the phone.  He was  extremely slow in returning our calls.
His masonry work had to be redone three times before it was acceptable.  After he left the job we found out 3 of the bricks at the
tops of 3 panels of window trim were not even set in mortar.  We allowed him to complete Phase 1 and then dismissed him.  We should have done it sooner.  We lost money on this job because we had to hire someone else to complete it.

We rehired the partner/worker that we had requested in the first place and the 2d phase was completed to our satisfaction.

The company, Total Home Remodeling and Repair, are one of the worst in the business. They Totally Remodel my home to an abandon looking house. They have basically stole $6500 from me because they never completed the job they were paid to do. I would never use them or recommend them to anyone. I paid them a deposit of half the amount quoted in September. The work was to begin in October, when I would be out of town for work, and be completed by the end of October. By the middle of October no work was started on the house. I inquired why nothing has been started and their answer was that they were stuck on another project that was taking a little longer than expected. By the time I got home at the first of November, work on my house still has not been started. I called them to threaten to get my money back and workers showed up that afternoon to start removing siding from my house. After two weeks of SOME work being done, they ask for more money and I gave them $2000 thinking that now my house will get done. I left for work in Florida the week before Thanksgiving thinking that when I got back in April that the siding would be completed. My wife informed me, in the middle of December, that no work has been done since I left for Florida. There were old boards on the ground, a wagon full of debris that has not been removed and half of my house was exposed to the weather which is one of the worst winters in Indiana history. At the beginning of January my wife and I both tried 3 - 4 times each to talk to the contractors to no avail. We had to get a lawyer involved to get one of the partners to at less return our phone calls. I have had 2 new contractors give us quotes to get the job done and both recommend starting the whole siding process over. They both said that things were done incorrectly from wrong nails used to flashing around windows installed incorrectly. I am still out $6500 and now I have to hire another contractor to complete the job. This contractor is unprofessional and should not be doing work on anyone?s property.

Once they started, they stayed on task until they were mostly done. The only problem I had with them was once they finished the main work and had a little bit left to do, it took about 6 months to get them back here to do it. I was not happy about that. I liked them and everything, but their response was not good.

Upon seeing what a great job Trevor Scoles and Chad Dunn did on previous jobs for us, we hired them to replace 6"x6" cedar posts that framed our windows and put bricks in their place. I gave them a brick from our patio area and they matched it for the windows. They arrived early in the morning and stayed late, working effectively and constantly. We were surprised how quickly they were able to do a window. At the end of each day they cleaned up the job area and hauled off the debris. A couple of days they were already scheduled for another job and came late in the day to work for us. One day Trevor saw he wasn't going to be able to come by and promptly called to let us know. They ran short on bricks which slowed them up. The craftsmanship on this job was superb. They worked well together. After all the windows were done, they caulked the joints between the bricks and windows. They were very cordial and eager to discuss the work with us as it progressed. They didn't seem to mind that I (Harriet) kept asking questions concerning the job. They wanted to be sure we were please with their work. I think we have found the company to fulfill our "TO DO LIST."

Steve Runyon did the quote on this job. He appeared knowledgeable as to how to correct the situation. We feel his quote was a fair price for the work that needed to be done. Trevor Scoles and Chad Dunn came out to do the job. These two guys are first of all pleasant to have around and very conscientious about their work. They were very courteous and eager to explain to us exactly what they were doing. They gave us several options for replacing the step and slab that was removed. We opted for a temporary wooded step because we want to put on a porch next spring. They pointed out it would be unwise and expensive to replace one exactly like we had and then tear it out or build over it next spring. Their work was excellent. They removed all the debris for us. Even though the job to remove the step and slab was more difficult than expected, causing them to have to get a jack hammer to do it, the cost remained the same as the quote given us.

Steve Runyon came out to give us a quote on removing a 30-yr old whole house fan and replacing it with one we had purchased. The new fan's shutter was larger than the existing one. Steve displayed confidence that he and Trevor could either use the existing shutter or make adjustments in the ceiling to accommodate the new shutter. He advised us it would be more economical to use the old shutter than to cut a larger opening for the new one. Trevor and Chad came out to do the job at the designated time. They were prompt, did the replacement in a short period of time and cleaned up after themselves, taking the old fan with them. Because the wall switch was two-speed instead single speed like the old switch, they did not have the necessary wire to complete its installation. It was late in the day and so, because of our distance to town, they finished the installation the next day after picking up the necessary wire. They were eager to be sure we were happy with their work, which we were.

I needed a roof replaced on my Mom's home that we were selling. The buyers wanted it done by closing (2 wks.) I received 3 quotes above $8,000.00. Total Home Remodeling was referred to me by the Realtor. Steve Runyon bid the lowest $5400 plus price of any decking that needed replaced. He said he could get the job done by closing. He worked with the buyers for type and color selection. His crew started on Tuesday and by Friday noon they were finished and had the area cleaned up. We closed at 2pm on Friday. He was prompt in returning any calls I made to him. I stopped by several times to see how the job was progressing. Trevor and his crew was very polite and courteous. They did such a great job that the new owners hired them to install some new flooring.
