FALCON AWNING & ORNAMENTAL

An awning was not a must-have item ? it was just somewhere on our wish
list. But we knew we?d enjoy our deck more if it was shaded, so I found Falcon
Awning on Angie?s List. I made an appointment and Rob came to our house for an
estimate. We originally thought we wanted a retractable awning, not knowing
that a stationery awning was an option. But Rob talked to us about the pros and
cons of each. Although a stationery awning is more expensive, we could clearly
see it was more beneficial. Not only does it provide shade, but we can also
still use the deck when it?s raining so we decided that?s what we wanted. I called
to place our order and Rob came back the following week to take exact
measurements, pick out the fabric, and we gave him a $500 deposit. Six weeks
later (a little behind schedule), Rob and two helpers installed our awning and
we LOVE it. We will now be enjoying our coffee and margaritas outside on the
deck, rain or shine!
        Working with Falcon Awning was a breeze. Rob is very down-to-earth and
was helpful in selecting materials. We had no idea there were so many options for
a simple awning. For example, he said they could weld a small plate in the framework
so that we could install an electrical box and hang a ceiling fan if we wanted
to. Really? Wow!
        We didn?t get estimates from any other companies. Maybe that was a bad
idea but I had a feeling no one could do any better than Falcon, and we?re
very pleased with the results.

We quickly hired him for the job and he helped us pick ou the perfect color for the awning we have.  I was definitely decided on a color until Rob gently steared me toward another similar, yet slightly different color than the one I was sure would go with the house.  I'm so glad he did.  The color he gently suggested was a tad darker than the one I originally picked and it turned out just beautiful.
Rob also put in a new railing for by back-door, too.  The railing that came with the house we just bought was rickety and not up to code.  He replaced that when he installed the awning and we couldn't be happier!
The awning really "classes up" our back door.  It reminds me of an awning at a nice hotel.  It's elegant and makes the home look classy "back there".
Rob and his business "Falcon Awning" are a little known gem in Anderson, Indiana.  I had to go to Indianapolis to find him!  But he should be more well-known because he does a beautiful, top-notch job and a very reasonable price.  Couldn't be happier.

IT WAS HARD TO FIND SOMEONE TO DO THIS TYPE OF REPAIR. OTHERS JUST WANTED TO SELL ME A COMPLETELY NEW AWNING.
