DIETRICK APPRAISAL SVC

Because of the nature of my move I worked with Remax Allegiance Relocation Services. They gave me 3 choices of appraisers that meet their criteria for appraisers. I had to choose 2 of the three to get a fair average & James was one of them because of the Anderson, Indiana address. I thought he knew how to appraise houses especially in Rural America. The biggest issue I had is in his comparison?s all of the houses had 2 bedrooms & no basement; he called them ?similar? to my 4 bedroom house with a basement. When I wrote to appeal his decision about the appraisal he ignored the fact that my house had 4 bedrooms and a basement. My company would have bought my house but his appraisal was $15,000 lower than the other & really put the value if the house below what it was worth when you averaged it with the other appraiser?s numbers. In the end my house sold for 6 months after the appraisal for $20,000 more than James?s Appraisal, but I had to wait the extra 6 months & it cost me a few houses as I was waiting for the $$ THAT James cost me. In conclusion if you want a dishonest appraisal he will give it to you.
