I think they are good people. They are knowledgeable. They are competitive with their pricing and everything. I think they are worth a visit. They negotiate so that's a good thing.

These people are great. It is a family owned business and they depend on repeat sales to continue their existence. They go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. You will pay a little more varying on what you are purchasing but what you get in knowledge, service and quality make buying from a big box store seem absolutely silly.

We had a door problem with a fridge we bought from Lucy's five years ago. It was extended warranty work and the original warranty company had sold the contract to another company who had their own authorized repair services (not Lucy's). When I had problems with the repair company assigned to do the work, I called Lucy's to see if they could help. At least three different folks got involved, spent their time, and got the new warranty company to allow them to fix the problem. Lucy's was under no legal obligation to get involved. The reason they are the ONLY place we have bought appliances from in the past and will do so in the future is this absolute dedication to customer service. In fifteen years every employee we have come in contact with (sales person, installation or repair) has demonstrated this commitment to customer service and professionalism.

Our wall ovens apparently had been installed when the house was built in 1964. I measured as best I could and went to Lucy's with the measurements, thinking that I had space for a 24-inch oven. I looked over some ovens, but in conversation the salesman said that 27-inch ovens were more common in high-end houses in the 1960's. I asked if the person who would install the oven could come out to measure before I ordered. They gave me the name of an installer, who came at the appointed time, and confirmed that indeed the space is for 27-inch ovens. I ordered the ovens. The original installer, an independent contractor, wasn't available, so Lucy suggested an alternate. He did the installation (separate report). The ovens are wonderful.

WE VISITED SEARS, SOME 'BIG BOX' RETAILERS, AND A GE APPLIANCES DISCOUNT SITE (I GET A DISCOUNT AS A BENEFIT THROUGH MY EMPLOYER). WE WENT WITH LUCY'S BECAUSE THEY HAD WHAT WE WANTED IN STOCK AND WERE ABLE TO DELIVER QUICKLY. THEY HAVE GREAT SERVICE, FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF, AND PRICES COMPARABLE TO SEARS.

DAN WAS A VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND COURTEOUS SALESMAN. HE KNEW HIS PRODUCTS WELL AND COULD EXPLAIN ALL THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MODELS. PRICES WERE COMPARABLE, IF NOT BETTER THAN OTHER APPLIANCE STORES IN THE AREA. ALSO, NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR DELIVERY OR REMOVAL OF THE OLD APPLIANCE. WE HAD A PROBLEM UPON DELIVERY, IN WHICH THE FRIDGE WAS NOT LEVELED PROPERLY. WE CONTACTED DAN AND HE CAME OUT THE SAME DAY TO FIX THE PROBLEM.
