E-Jay'S Painting

Our experience with E-Jay's Painting was sub-par to say the least. We hired them to paint approximately three rooms (some area didn't equal one whole wall) in our house. When we initially received a quote we questioned what seemed to be a very high price, however, Butch, the person in charge, told me the price was this high due to the amount of wall washing, patching, and prep work. He was very persuasive and, having never hired a painting service before, we sadly took him at his word. This was our first mistake. Butch stated he would put the paint on "thick," however, the paint is so thin it is starting to crack and dirt is coming through only two weeks after he and his crew ?completed? the work. Moreover, upon close inspection we see that only a portion of the patching was done. The few patch jobs that were done are not holding up at all. When all is said and done, we would have been better off never having had the work done than to have the mess these people left behind. We made multiple attempts to reach the owner with no success. Upon the fourth attempt, owner stated he ?would do right by us and set up a time to go over all the issues from the job?. Weeks later and we have yet to hear from him - we have been leaving messages since December 3, 2012. We even had our son call, with no success. E-Jay's Painting does not stand by their work whatsoever - I have contacted Consumer Affairs and will be filing a complaint against the pricing, the job, the work, dishonesty. I will never use this company again.
