"In May 2019 we stopped by [Member Information Removed] to turn on sprinkler system for the season. The controller, installed outside, was found to have NO power. We were able to turn the water on and check the system manually from outside. The homeowner was not home so we made a note on the invoice that the controller had NO power and that breaker likely needed to be reset. We did not hear back from her. In July, she contacted us saying that the sprinkler system was not running. We stopped by and found the outlet again had NO power. During that visit, we met with the groundskeeper and walked him through how to use the controller and checked that system was operating properly. System was left running. A week later she calls saying it is no longer working. We stop by the same day she called the office and find that the water supply is turned OFF. A service fee is assessed for the first visit but not the second to cover the travel time and fuel cost. During the second visit, it was explained to the homeowner that the water being shut-off is out of our control after we leave a job-site. We turn the water back on and ensure the system is running properly. The groundskeeper confirms the water was turned back on and that the system is running again."
