They had to come back out and readjust the handles after they switched them out. They're responsiveness was pretty good. They were on time. I would probably price it a little bit, but yes I would considering using them again. They were punctual and overall the work was done with cleanliness in mind. Other than the handles, they did a good job.

The first time I used Ben Franklin was about 5 years ago to unclog a kitchen drain. The plumber was professional and on time. The next time, the same drain, about 2 years later, the plumber didn't bring the right equipment (though they were told it was the same problem) and had to come back the next day. He was late both times and the owner/operator in Yorkville refused to honor the promise of $100 cash if the plumber is late more than 1/2 hour. He also charged for both appointments even though it was his fault that he had to come back again the next day.

Plumbers are punctual, courteous, and knowledgeable.  They have done work for me for over 10 years, and I have always been satisfied.

Installation went well.  Enjoying the filter.  The descaler, which replaced my water softener, is taking some time to get used to.

Kitchen sink faucet "O" ring was broken and spraying water all over counter and wall.  They came promptly, could not get the part to repair the old faucet.  Replaced it with a new Kohler faucet (with an extended warranty). The repairman cleaned up after himself and was professional and courteous.

The ceramic o kerg had broken and was spraying water everywhere.
Pete came and gave me prices on repairing / or replacing.
After checking he couldn't get parts for 10 days.
As I had to go with a new Kohler faucet which was $100 more.

The job went smoothly and it fixed the issue, however, just replacing the supply linke for $220 seemed a bit excessive. This job was performed at my rented property and so I wasn't there personally but was sent the invoice after it was completed. I immediately asked the tenant how long it took to perform the job and as I'd thought it was less than an hour. At first when I was told $220 for the job I was thinking it will require sealing leaking pipes since there was water dripping into the basement. Again, I'm satisfied with the work that was done, however, $220 for this work will definitely not make me call Benjamin Franklin again.

They did a good job but were very expensive. They were trying to push me. The second time I used them was in 2008. The following year I had them back to do replumbing for two tubs. The job did not go like they thought it would but they stuck to their estimate. The job took two days and they thought it would take only one day. The second day they sent a less experienced guy and they did not know at that time. The following day the entire replumbing came out and they sent somebody to fix it. They were stupid enough to tell me that the guy had not taken the measurements right. I rescheduled them and made them replace that. They then fixed it and they never came back. By then I was done with them and I ended up not using them. They kept sending templates after that. I did not have a good experience with them. The guys worked for two days and did a lot of work, but I was not happy with them. They were pretty responsive when I called them back. They were very punctual as well.

The plumbers completed the job and left, but they did not wear the protective footies over their shoes, which I later found out they were supposed to. After they were gone we discovered puddles of water under the sink and globs of plumber sputty under the sink and on the kitchen floor. They had to take apart the pipes under the sink, and water must have leaked form the pipes, and when they took the old sink strainer off, the old putty must have fallen onto the floor. The never bothered to clena up after themselves. I called the next day to complain, and was told mymessage would be given to the manager, and when I did not receive a call back I tried again two day later, again with noi reponse. I went on the company web site and filed a complaint, and finally the manager called back. I am filing this report to highlight the lack of clean up by the plumbers as well as the lack of repsonsivness by the manager.

Went Great. Company completed the job within 60 minutes of arrival at my home for the estimate. This included having the new faucet delivered to my home. Installation was completed professionally and they cleaned the entire work area before they left. Great Company to do business with.

Very well. The plumbers are nice and offer suggestions for preventing problems from happening. When I have a question, they always get someone out to the house quickly.

The Benjamin Franklin plumbers have been able to determine the source of our problems each time we've had them out. Our leak in the ceiling was a particularly difficult one to pinpoint and although it took two visits, they were able to find it and repair it. In general, they are very helpful and thorough, taking the time to explain what they are doing, the cost involved, and the end result. They follow up with contact information for specific product vendors and make recommendations as requested. Their customer service and follow-up is top-notch! This has been a great company to work with.

I really recommend this company because they were a great help to us. They took the time to verify our old water heater was still under warranty and we did not have to purchase a new one. I would give them an A plus on honesty and professionalism.
