I am not a member of Angie's list and I regret that now! I am using my friend's account to warn everyone out there about this company. I was given the name of the person from my cleaning lady. I called and someone came out from this co. to give me a quote. I chose them as the references provided checked out and they were the least expensive of all the places I had checked out.



They charge by the hour and my daughter, her boyfriend and I helped move boxes from the house out near the truck. Thank goodness we did because the 2 movers were slow as molasses and we were paying by the hour. I downsized a lot so I didn't have that much stuff to move. They came at 8am and were 10 minutes late. That was the start of the debacle. They haphazardly loaded the truck from what my daughter and her boyfriend said as half way through loading the truck I had to run to the closing for my new house I was buying. They said the movers didn't really use moving blankets, maybe one or 2 if that 3 tops for all my expensive wood furniture. The truck they brought was too small so we had to load stuff in my car, my daughter's car and my friend's car. The movers just left and I went through the house once more and my daughter saw they forgot 2 take huge closets worth of stuff!!!! We jammed our cars like vagabonds. It was the most awful thing ever.



Once we got to my new house they slowly unpacked everything, again we helped as I just can't sit still and do nothing. Once everything was unpacked I noticed the scratched the hardwood floors in my new house, they dented and scratched almost every single piece of my wood furniture as well as my marble like coffee table top. There were scraps and gouges taken out of the wood. When I asked them about it they said "That's not really our problem as we used moving blanket's provided by Geneva." I said "What blankets? My daughter said one to two blankets were used and that was insufficient for that amount of furniture." Then they had the audacity to ask me to pay them after they ruined tons of my expensive furniture. They told me I owed them around $850 and I asked them why it was so much more than the $300-$400 I was quoted. They told me to call Geneva as they didn't want to deal with it. Geneva said they only quote the price for loading and not moving and unloading. What sense doesn't that make? Am I really going to want someone to just load my things and not move or unload them. Prior to the move she had said her movers could remove a couch the sellers left in the house, that my daughter bought from them, and take it back to Woodstock to my daughters house. She wouldn't compensate me for any of the damage to my furniture and begrudgingly finally said she'd not charge me to take the couches to my daughters house. She said the 2 men would take pictures with their smartphones and send her pictures of the damages. They didn't take or send any pictures. I am VERY disappointed and will NEVER use or recommend this company again!
